Oh!! PM wakes up
by shanoj kumar on Sep 24, 2010 10:01 PM  | Hide replies

Our honourable PM wakes only few days in a year, it seems so. Every kid in India knew that everything about CWG was going wrong and the old man has just woken up to the facts with few days left for the event to start. What was he doing all this while?

Only Corporates like TATA's can save India
by yogesh pande on Sep 24, 2010 09:59 PM  | Hide replies

The control should have been given to corporates like TATA's who has big reputation from the last more than 100 years .These politicians many of whom are not more than primary pass are made to run these show so it was bound to be falilure.Think of a country where the CM was Rabri Devi and Mayawati what else you can expect.

Whatever the image the coporates build these shameless politicians ruin that.

London based transactions. Is it really true?
by Turin on Sep 24, 2010 09:55 PM  | Hide replies

MamMohan and his superior must literally face the people the minute CWG is over, and give us a detialed report of the spending of each paisa.

India needs a Revolution, and all those scoundrels must kneel before the people and answer the questions.

Where is our Dalit home visitor? Since he claims to be the "youth" icon, let him mobilize youth and clean up the mess not only around the village and stadiums, but all over Delhi. Just look at hte pity state of the surrounding areas of athlete village. Propping up big billboards won't help block the view of the scenes of utter poverty and filth in the nation's capital.

There is no mess..this is all media hype to create sensation ( example when only two small tiles fell from false ceiling the news sent by media was WHOLE FALSE CEILING COLLAPSES....foot overbridge did not get sunshine for cement to dry up for 10 consecutive days...it had to collapse)...this is the way of life in India....you have to manage the things as per local condtions...Delhi can not become Atlanta overnite...

it's nopt just 2 tiles collapsing on some poor workers.. it is about the rooof caving in.. Doesn';t that say something to you? Finding human faecesa inside rooms maybe a normal thing for many Indians, perhapss??!! there may be justification for that too..let's hear that now.

It's the first time that Indian media really reported things neutrally about a major issue.

The show was sanctioned in 2003. Why did preparations start truly only after onset of monsoon? Media may indeed have created hype but considering that PM had to intervene, was it entirely unjustified? Think of what would have happened had media not created hype. 85 workers to clean up mess from 30-odd towers!!!!

Hight of Corruption
by R on Sep 24, 2010 09:48 PM  | Hide replies

We would not have been in this mess ff Kalmadi, Shiela, Gill etc had focussed on the real work. Instead, their priority was to extract maximum money. Games took back seat.

Small corruption is OK. Everybody is corrupt to some extent in India. But this was height of corruption. All previous records have been broken.

what about the whole Sports Ministry?

How about the Prime Minister and his Gov?

aren't they answerable?

It's not an overnight buildup. They had 7 years, and how can an Economist be oblivious to the corruption when CWG budget Skyrocketed ?

That may be bcoz either he's asked to turn the other side or he too has a role in the CWG money looting business. Ism't it logical to believe that way, considering the bif shame we are facing right now.
