All the glitter exhibited by our participants was due to their own gritty efforts. I doubt any constructive part was played by IOC or any GOI sports body. Our sports persons have to struggle for their meagre wages & its a truth, which has come to lime light many a times till now.

He is a classic and shameless power-monger who is corrupt to the bone-marrow. He and his cohorts have looted not less than 30,000 crores of sweat money of crores of hard-working Indian middle-class toilers like you and me. But he will go scot-free and please dont be shocked if he doesnt get an elevation into a higher rank - May be a Cabinet Ministerial Berth - as reward for the huge sums that he must have contributed to the party coffers. This UPA regime is easily the most corrupt we have ever had, they are doing nothing about the 500,000 crores in Swiss banks, about the 100,000 crore 2G Spectrum Scam and now the 70,000 Crore CWG swindle! The only theme of UPA is to remain in power at all costs and of course the other major agenda being to elevate Rahul to the PM Gaddi. Shameful!!! Jaago, Middle-class Jaago!!
Good china was not in common wealth or else india would be far behind in medals tally, that too without US or russia being there. the closing ceremoney was a gaudy mess, with too many colors. the dancers were not syncronized like chinese. it seems like we were trying only to compete with chinese olympic ceremonies, but we didnt come close. Why were those useless singers singing copied english songs. is that indian culture. and im sure the fireworks were ' made in china' and the whole show organized by foreign technology and knowhow.

Nothing will happen to Kalmadi as he must have by now gave crores of rupees of booty to Sonia n Rahul who will make sure there man continues in position so he can make them few 100 more crores in time to come

SONIA N RAHUL WILL USE TAHT MONY DURING ELECTION.THEY DISTRIBUTE THIS MONY AMONG POOR PEOPLES WHO IN INDIA REALLY VOTES TO ELECT REPRESENTATIVE. IF PEOPLES LIKE YOU COME OUT ON THE DAY OF VOATING THEY WILL BE DISCOURAGED TO DO THIS AND INDIA WILL BECOME CORRUPTION FREE. I HOPE U GOT IT. Give Kalmadi atleast some credit for hosting a successful games....what was most shameful of us Indians is that we believe in bringing down somebody who rises to the occassion where no body else wants to go....did anybody imagine India could participate and do so well in so many diverse games other than cricket until CWG came to Delhi....think we need to thank the individuals who had the vision and foresight for doing this and make the nation proud of our feat!!
There were clear signs that Man Mohan Singh, Sonia, Rahul or this UPA govt. will not lift their little finger to punish Kalmadi and Bhanot and MS Gill and Reddy etc. knowing full well that with the end of the CWG, Indian public will soon forget the whole thing. We all spend something for our entertainment in movies etc. But, 70,000 crores for a 2 week show is a criminal waste of our money, and the govt. (PM downwards) must be prosecuted for waste of this money when 40% Indian population is below the poverty line. The CWG surely did not make friends of any country. India lost face on questions of our hygiene standards, corruption etc. The speech of Kalmade was surely a low point because the gentleman could not even read out properly. The regular booing in his speech of sycophancy just could not be missed. If the CWG was in India`s interests, then let PM blow up all India`s exchequer, but if it was bad, and it does look very bad, then let PM be prosecuted, and punished and told clearly not to use such things to boost up UPA`sa electoral prospects. Those gold medals for India are ok, but are not comparable to world olympics at any rate, and they are not doing anything to improve our sports/games in India, which needs money spent on CWG.In 70,000 crore outlay, a modest 30% kickback would amount to 21,000 crores and that would have to be shared by involved people. Will media pursue the corruption with tenacity?

We need Supreme Court to force Govt. to make public all spending at CWG and punish excesses/stealing. Also, SC must force Congress to reveal Swiss Bank account holders.
since billion-plus india is the country with population ten times or more than that of any other commonwealth country. australia with population one-hundredth of india has gone off first on the medal list.

Considering how good we are at sports and how much attention we pay to it, the 2nd place is indeed an achievement. You can only take one step at a time. Till yesterday, you never won even an individual bronze. Nowdays, you are winning at least 2-3 (in Olympics). Similarly from being 4th or 5th in Commonwealth, the 2nd position is an achievement- not the ultimate goal but a decent milestone for sure.

you are quite right. what I meant was that we should not become over-confident. one reason we do even this well is because karuna-lalu types do not ask for obc-reservations in sports-men fielded for such games. let us there is no caste-creed interference in national sports.
