This stupid lady is talking nonsense. what does she mean by new India.? India's soul and identity is with it's old culture and arts. The show was like by all around the world because of it showcased rich indian culture and heritage.

Whatever the show focussed or captured....whatever went right....cannot be a reason for amnesty on a wrong.....lets change from this "chalta hai" attitude. Whoever has done wrong must be "PUNISHED" with such a punishment that no body in the future should think of getting away with. We have been setting wrong examples, teaching our young eneration that "scandal" has become an household thing....and the pity is as said in the movie "Hindustani", we are so used to the scandals that we stopped recognizing them as scandals.....Being perfect is not being without emotions.....

I double with jet that the ceremony was good. But the writer is tryng to say it is sort of Masala movie..While i dont agree with the writer.....I also dont agree with what happened just before the ceremony.....Thats why i am saying the the credit of opening ceremony should not overshadow the Scandals behind it.....Recently....Youth Olympic Games concluded in Singapore....wow...what a way they have done...a country half the size of Delhi....can do it......why not India?...

The English speaking and wrtting journalists feel taht anything Indian is second class . They have inferiority compelx for the Indian culture deep donw their mind as thay are Englishsied in their thought process. Shhel Bhatt wanted to show some holf naked Indian women dancing on the tunes of some Metallic band or what ? The whole of english media is ahving stomoch ache for the success of the games as it common Indian who is proud of it now and these media guys are sulking as they do not have anyting to criticise. We the Indian people need to tell these buffons like Sheelas , we just done get imprerssed by your Hinglish any more and we know you how hollow you alkl are. We are proud of Inda and will be . We dont need your good commnts to feel better. YOu are just disgusting baffons.

I firmly beleive - Sheela Bhatt gets up in the noon, fresh after a night's job(!), does her vacuuming, tends to the soiled things of her relatives (if any), eats out at the corner wada-paav or paav-bhaji or chainis (chinese) thela in late noon, gossips in the society's garbage bin, goes to office, spreads out on the chair, farts out loudly, calls 10 Janpath & then begins writing.

Sheela Bhatt seems to be the only person who did not get the message of opening ceremony. All the international media reported it as 'India has arrived'. Did she expect the ceremony to be a replica of beijing olympic ceremony. This was intended to be different. It was a signature event, daringly displaying what we are. Why do we have to show our future plans ? Opening ceremony is meant to be welcoming guests, so whatever message is given has to be subtle. The world had noted the technology used, money spent, the perfection and sychronization and punctuality (something Indians were so far accused of not having), most importantly the pride. We have displayed our uniqueness. Defiantly displaying that we are different, yet we are not less than anyone.

there was no daring display, it was the same old bullshit of old india reinforcing wertern beleifsé perceptions. If there was a daring diplay they would have displayed something abput the space programme considered one of the best or about the discoveries india made like the zero, math, astronomy, something people actually be happy about, not the same folk bullsit that was shown.

its shameful rediff has such shallow minded writer whose ideas not going beyond bolywood,

Rediff should have screeing committee to assess quality of writers otherwise this will lost the credibility.

CWG - opening ceremony was just WORLD CLASS.

Lets all do something constructive - respect narendra modi for his development of gujarat, and stop blaming him for riots.
