Re: stadium looks empty for most of game. why don't CWg organize

kalmadi is oversmart. he is waiting to grab money from selling tickets.
shameful to see on rediff mail. I think writer does not know anything about india. About 70% of population lives in villages. Also the opening was done by small children which represent future of INDIA not the past. The Yoga is still in practice will be in future. The RailGaddi concept shows the real INDIA. I think some people have never gone beyond the boundaries of tall building of Metro Cities and fancy Malls. They really need to travel in different parts of INDIA. The Values of Mahatma Gandhi does look past to writer However he or she need to know that Michigan Uni has put a statue Of Mahatma Gandhi as showing Way of Peace to world on his birthday last Saturday.I think who call this embarrassment really need to think twice. They need come to roots of INDIA.

What did Jinnah do to grab PM post? and Why should have Gandhi ji agreed to it? We saw where Jinnah lead pakistan (1/10 of india) to. He would have destroyed india existence altogether. Of the lot Sardar Patel or Nehru were the right choice. And as Nehru was more acceptable to congress at that time (not only to Gandhi) - he became PM. Why blame Gandhi ji? What ever Gandhi ji...

See the cost Indians paying for the cost for good work of Nehru. He sowed the seed of Kashmir, Tibet, and power lust to congressies who never let any oppertunity go without cashing it. Spoiled the CWG and name of country despite of hard by players, tourism industry nothing coming to favour except shame. The Kalmaadi filled his bank and will go away scot free. This all is florishing because of Gandhiji's favour to Nehru.
Its a shame that Rediff can publish the load of crap that was written in this article.Freedon of speech is fine, but having the power to disseminate such poor and distatsteful articles is another thing..buddy I can figure that you are some sad, pathetic writer working for miserly sum and hence the poor quality..rediff you have set a new benchmark in distasteful and poor reporting..

What has Modi got to do with this article? Whats your problem? Why are you so depressed? Why can't you be imaginative? You are a strange example of copy cat of your own whims

if u can forget the crimes of kalmadi, u must forget crimes committed by narendra modi. I strongly condemn your double standards and hypocricy
i would like to ask the author one question: if you were on the organising committee and were responsible for the opening ceremony and felt morally obliged to showcase, i quote, the 'real india', what would you have shown? would you have paraded all our corrupt politicians for the world to see? because i am sure you would agree that thats one of the stark realities of our country. and needless to say, we have so many corrupt politicians that Ms. Arisia who had trouble keeping up with the performers (who did a brilliant job, if i may add) would have gone home with a bad headache. i believe the answer to my question would be 'no' and thats perfectly logical because simply put, you do not do your dirty laundry when the whole world is watching you. yes, there are kids dying of poverty, malnutrition and disease everyday in our country, all over the world actually. but no country in the world will ever put it all out for you to see at a games opening. instead, you portray the things about your country that you are proud of, your culture, your people, your hospitality. and thats what india did. and did a fantastic job doing it. media and goverments around the world have lauded our country about the stupendous success of the ceremony and here you are griping about the future not having been shown. its just plain sad. i have seen every major opening ceremony from the 2000 sydney olympics and sunday night's ceremony was as impressive as any of them, if not more.

i want u to do something constructive - respect modi for his development of gujarat, and stop blaming hinm for riots.
This is very disappoitng article. The idea seems to put the analytical skills rather than realistic. These people only try to write something new.Even they put up with show what they think, they will still write something is missing.Be positive.Think twice before writing.

i am not sure what it is that i feel after reading your report - anger or despair. anger, at the fact that to get yourself noticed, you have gone on to review a beautiful event (inclusive of all the flaws it may have had) in a manner that honestly borders on the absurd. and despair, because you and your article are proof of the sad fact that its not religion, poverty, communal unrest, terrorism, corruption or political infighting thats the real curse of our country; its the attitude of our people - a lethargic and hypocritical attitude that allows for all the finger-pointing and mud-slinging that you have actively indulged in, in your report. if i may, can you please explain to me what you mean by the term 'real india'? did you write this sitting in a thatched hut, after having walked 10 miles to get water to your family? or at your computer at home with a cup of instant coffee and your blackberry by your side? i am guessing the latter. realise this, its all real. no country looks the same all around, especially not one as dynamic as ours. the metropolitan cities of India are as real and vital as the villages. secondly, in a time frame of 3-4 hours, the opening ceremony showcased a brief glimpse at our culture ranging from percussions to dances to yoga to even a train journey showcasing the common man of india. and i believe thats the best anyone can do, because thats how rich and diverse indian culture is!

You know what? Repeating same messages again again will not help, its just waste of time. Do not crib, do something constructive
You know what Sheela? Your are sick and frustrated. The entire world knows modern India so what if it showed and brought real India together at the same time? What exactly is your frustration? The journalism in India has touched it lowest level. Sheela, sitting in air conditioned room and criticizing everything the nation does shows how ignorant are you. What did the President do wrong? Did you have guts to criticize Barak Obama when he faltered while taking oath of the office? Tell me how much do you know about India. You know why our country is looked down in other parts of the world? Its because of people like you who take pride in finding faults then appreciating what the nation has or has the nation done. Relax Shela. Sit back and think. If you have to write something, if at all you should, write positive things. Take pride in what you have and do not crib about everything around. If you are so frustrated then leave the country and try to settle elsewhere and you will understand what I am trying to say.

CWG is like putting expensive perfumes & powders on a cancer patient (INDIA) hoping that others (FOREIGNERS) will not notice the horrible stench & pitiable condition

Do you have anything else to say except repeating the same message to everyone's comments??
Re: Re: Re: Re: Sheela

Manoj, the problem is that people like you `pity'. Thats shows your psychology. `Pity' is the worse thing that one can do. If at all, contribute then `pity'.
Youth of today keeps a blind eye on these `blind people'. Cribbing does not help. Contributing will make the difference.
What we are discussing in this forum is negative attitude of the so called author Sheela Bhatt, we are sure not discussing the money the OC or the political `heros' lead by Suresh Kalamity (read calamity) made out of these games.
Here, what is discussed is the showcase India has put put.
