Give credit when it is Due !
by Raymond Vaz on Oct 05, 2010 11:39 AM

The opening ceremony of the CWG was nothing less than spectacular and credit should be given when it is due.
Kudos to the organisers, participants and students who did a wonderful job.

Indian Media
by common man on Oct 05, 2010 11:38 AM

Thy are like mosquitoes always searching for blood instead of milk from the breast.

They did not give a single positive news for
the event & conducted channel debate about withdrawal/cancellation of the CWG.

They are the No.1 enemies of Indians than politician by creating negative energy in public.

Ask the F u c k all corporates who stayed away completly. Ask those big so called Indian names Infy, Tata, Reliance shameless business houses who completely stood out. They all will seek tax exemptions but when it comes to these kinds of events the money is ours and the event is managed by the common man. Similarly are sick and pathetic Bollywood names, where were all the Khans (Ghans) the Bachans etc. Every other award night is a hit here, where awards are mostly brought. But for such functions these people are all dead. Such shameless bunch of people we have heading our corporates and our so called only colorful bollywoood, our old Black and white stars were still better.

I fully agree with @thinkingaloud. Look at the IPL and you can see all Mallayas, Ambanis, etc minting money and where national pride comes, they prefer to stay aside n watch in their yatch with drinks. Needless to mention these watse filmstars. They can go and dance in Australia for last CWG but here in India they only open clothes in new year eve in 5star hotels - ONLY FOR MONEY!! The typical common man has performed, kuddos to all of them!

Thanks Pawan, we fail to see the realities and we love to dance like hyenas when something negative happens. But there are many who would actually accept what is done.

Its the same officials whose work efforts you have seen fructify. So then what you will keep them away kya? There are my own friends, who despite all the hastles still went to the venue with a valid ticket, has the corporate India been reduced to accepting only Govt tax exemption blessing. Grow up person.

All this was made possible only after media brought all irregularities in open otherwise same officials were just minting money. They started working only after it came to their head. Same officials were sleeping untill it started risking their jobs

Who the heck is this idiot? I was proud to see the colorful & culturally diverse show that was displayed. This is the real India I feel. It is easier to talk about the future by living in a city and decorated homes. Has the person traveled within India to know what its all about.
Shame on Rediff to have even posted such article !!

In fact you should feel ashamed for willing to promote India as an under developed country. Whereas India is in reallity a fast developing country which was not at all reflected in the opening ceramony. No mention of Infosys, Reliance, Tata, Indian doctors.
If your child is spoilt, would you like to advertise / promote him

Man, how poorly written is this. Hindi-Eng translation?
by Oomshik Tooshik on Oct 05, 2010 11:33 AM

This person is really poor in English. Look at the number of grammar errors. Poorly written, badly structured article.

That said, I agree that India is always showcased as a village/folk country. That is the easiest way out.
