No sense by criticizing government or others. We have to blame ourselves. We people are not interested in Hockey or other sports except cricket. Player’s salary depends upon the income of the concerned boards. If we people show interest in Hockey & other sports obviously the income increases, then the players can be paid more than they expect. SO IT’S ALL UPTO TO WE PEOPLE TO ENCOURAGE OTHER SPORTS ALSO

BUT THE STATUS OF HOCKEY & FOOTBALL PLAYERS ARE REDUCED TO THE LEVEL OF CHAPRASIS. WHEREAS THEY PLAY FOR THE COUNTRY & CRICKETERS PLAY FOR A COMPANY CALLED BCCI. THE GOVT. SHOULD IMMEDIATELY ACT & PAY ADEQUATELY. THE IRRESPONSIBLE OFFICERS OF HOCKEY & FOOTBALL FEDERATION TO BE SACKED & SENIOR RETD. PLAYERS SHOULD BE HONOURED WITH THE POSTS.
Indias national game is not getting its due, due to its corrucpt non sense officlas. Can't our sports ministry employ patriotic sports person as chief.

Hockey is our national game... Is the country or the government giving its value as a national game as compared to cricket. Why don't india put cricket as national game and ban hockey... atleat the players will not be bothered for non-payment

Hockey is our national game and we should be proud of it. It is an indian game, whereas cricket is english game. It is hightime government gave it top priority and spent money on it, otherwise it will become national shame. Hockey players are our real stars and their achievements should be honoured and they must be paid, like our Cricket players..

Where from did you get the idea that hockey is an "Indian game" ? Bothe field hockey and ice hockey originated in England just like cricket
Batra admits poor food and lack of facilities to the players and also says players areholding the nation to ransom. Hockey administrators are holding this nation from reaching the Glory we lost. These idiots live in 5 star hotels and don't pay the players and provide good food and facilities. All these goons should be sacked ..
The young generation of India is concentration on Cricket, Glamour and some fancy life style.
India Hockey board is very poor. There is no body to give good sponsorship. Evey body is targeting our youngsters and they are concentration on fancy things.
keep up the good work players. You have suffered a lot in the past. Wwe all want India to do well in hockey but if the players who give their best for national pride are not treated properly, to hell with hockey
What Indian sports authorities are doing. Remember our first game is against Porkistan. we already know how good our team is and if they do not practice then god knows what will happen in the world cup.
