I believe its a very good initiative. We often criticize indian atheletes for not performing, but we do not do a thing for them actively. I am disappointed to see so many negative comments below and do not understand why people are so skeptical about any new initiative that comes up. I believe we should have faith in this type of initiatives. If you do not believe in them, dont contribute your hard earned money, but unnecessarily criticizing something, just because you have time to do so, does not make any sense.
Comparing defence budget with sports budget is insane. You have the liberty to think about and play sports just because Indian Armed Forces are struggling on icy hills and hot deserts. Armed officers do not endorse BRANDS to earn money
Instead of begging for money, let all money coming from cricket be distributed equally for development of all sports. We Indians are paying lot of taxes.
Why do we pay taxes then. Is the government not spending money on sports. This is another eye wash. Will you be responsible for delivering results? How many gold medals in the next olympics. Such organizations should be banned. Do something for education/do something for more fundamental needs... not for sports which is more of a recreation..
Worst off all is sponsoring Saina's trip to hongkong.. saina charges around 1 crore for each endorsement. yet u want us to pay for her first class air ticket and five star hotel accomodation- this is rubbish.
