this shows chess is not cup of game for math wizards but commerce graduates.. I hope the 3 Idiots writer's professor puzzle is answered as to why biz people and commerce seekers are born wizards.
Shame on us. Only we Indians can play such dirty games. Anand is our Icon. He does not require any doctorate. If this is the case all achievers in India will soon get out of pride nation India. I would be happy, if Anand decline the offer forever.

Kapil Sibbal has said that he will fall on the feet of V Anand and ask for his forgiveness... He has confirmed that it is not a difficult thing for him to do as he does this every week at 10 Janpath along with many other colleagues...

Hey we should not get hecked up. Some lower division clerk is doing his duty. He probably has to ascertain the nationality of every recipient. I dont understand why such a rule exists which asks for nationality. If that is the case everywhere, many Indians including our PM could not have got doctorate degree.

In fact it is not a lower division clerk, the university officials have said to the HRD ministry that Anand is Spanish National. When asked the university Vice Chancellor Syed Hasnain said "Our understanding is that Anand is a Spanish citizen, though that should not be reason for a problem,".What kind of people we have as VCs of Universities? Doesn't he read papers/watch TV- Didn't he notice The tricolour being displayed on Anand's table while he plays the match.This is terrible!!

Agreed.He may be a Spanish National, representing india,in matches,as in IPL/Footbal leagues matches. But definitly he is an indian,now the VCs are politicians,not academics.
