I think right thinking Indians would be happy that Anand finally did not have to take his doctorate and join the insulting ranks of people like karunanidhi, lalu and so many other undeserving and uncouth characters. May GOD bless him, he is far better off and remains a true Indian untainted by the Indian political fraternity in rewards or recognitions.

A widely known fact is almost refuted by Mr Bhogle! It is a fact as we all know!! Mr Bhogle, we regard you, but the fact remains that the wife of Mr R Gandhi did not go for the Indian Passport for years after her marriage. However, I do not find any thing typically wrong in that approach. She was never found to be anti-Indian specifically - and you and I and many others can affirm that. Yet, as mentioned hereinabove, she took years before she applied for citizenship of India! It is ok.

BUT Ask a Musalman (staing inIndia)in private, he will tell u it is pakistan.
Majority of musalman staying in India identify with Pakistan than India. Yes Majority of them identify themselves with AN ENEMY country
There may be many who would tell u they are Indian first , but ask they that should Pakistan be destroyed because of terrorism it is promoting in India.
Their Answer would be NO and they would suggest friendship with them, same as Shah rukh was sugesting
But if you ask an american for friendship with Osama or any such country threathning their existence like Libya or IRAN, The Majority of the answer would be NO.

wasn't university fault. They wanted to honor him. Their decision was conveyed to the HRD as per procedure, and the HRD ministry bungled up.

Not necessarily. not being a pessimistic but concluding from history. anand didnt give him enough time, hence drawn. we have had so many young chess prodigies but they dont do that big when they grow up. International stage is different, very different. We dont have tons of chess academies as they have in russia etc.
Check NDTV's Prannoy Roy interviewing Anand. Anand was gracious in saying it was not intentional or aimed to humiliate him. It was bizarre, that's all. The minister apologized, spoke to him. Anand further said he always played for India, he is an Indian. The incident is over. He'll pick his doctorate when he has time ;-)
This incident again proves the hatred mentality of Congress against Tamilians. They do not want to honour a Tamilian even though he is the world champion.

Is it so? What honour has Tamil Nadu done for this world champion. Ask dr. Kalaignar if he even bothered to know who Anand is? The land which builds temple for Kushboo and Pepsi Uma doesn't even care to offer headlines in its media for the world champion. This is the state where you have Dr. Vijay (SSLC). Has any university in Tamil Nadu even contemplated to know they can offer a doctorate to Anand. This surely a job of a over zealous IAS officer who doesn't care for anything as he is sure of his future irrespective of what happens in this country. These are the real men who will send our nation to the graveyard. There is no use in blaming Congress for this. This is the same Congress that gave "Bharath" in 1972 and "Bharath Ratna" in 1988 after death to MGR. They will give doctorates to even you and me if that can ensure 5 votes.

Tamilnadu didnt honour Anand because he is a Brahmin. Tamilians are the number one haters after muslims.
