Sania always gets weaker players in the first round but seeded players in the second. She has not shown any progress in her rankings since last few months. She was more in news due to other topics than tennis. The hype she received from media and people unfortunately has killed her talent.

what is wrong in friendship? In what way it concerns with her losing in II round?
There is one Vishwanathan Anand who is world chess champion but media hardly pay attention to him.Saina Nehwal is a top 10 badmimton player but we hardly hear about her.Likes of P.T.Usha,Malleshwari,sushil kumar have made India proud but are ignored by media.Does anybody know khashaba jadhav who won Indias first Individual olympic medal in 1952.His family is struggling to live a decent life due to lack of money. But sania reaches 2nd round and becomes national icon.Is she so special because she is better looking than an average Indian sportsperson. For me she is an average player.

Some former hockey players of gold medal winning team are pulling rickshaw in metros this the kind of respect and attention we give to our real heros. And more to blame is shameless media who will always bring nonsense stories in to picture but will never show concern to the right issues. Olympic team member and asiad medal winner Limbaram is now coaching new players with pithy salary and lives in a garage of a bunglow.

Rightly said.... the extra attention Sania gets is due to the other two balls of her. No offence, but it's a fact
Just because she is attractive, the media just hypes Sania up. People like Somdev, Bopanna or Saina Nehwal (a True Champion material) should get coverage instead of this silly Sania.
But, then who can argue with the Media?? Other examples of media made stars are Yuvraj Singh, Saurav Ganguly and Shahruk Khan.

Wish I could post old press clips screaming Ms.Mirza can get into the top 10. Maybe this will motivate her to get to the 3rd round at least.

I dispute about Yuvraj and Ganguly and agree with whole of your post otherwise. Yuvraj is immensely talented and rightly praised by media but he is immaturish and too much media coverage some times goes in to his head and does some silly things off the ground. But he is very very special player and a gift to India. Ganguly too was praised and criticized too much by media but he was a fine player and a great captain. Yes may be a bit arrogant but what the heck?? He was a player to have in Indian team and he earned his position by his talent.
I did not hear about any new emerging player in women tennis in India. Undoubtedly Sania is best in India but I think she is not consistent and if there is stiff internal competition in India for women tennis, which is lacking, Sania would have been marginalized. Tennis still a sport of elite metro people and not enough raw talent coming in to it and lack of good coaches and infrastructure is major worry.

Sania is doing a good job for herself tennis is not a country sport its an individual game she's earning big bucks goof enuf for an indian middle class grl. She is a eye opener for indian girls.
Sania does not have variety in her play. She is all wham-wham hitting. After soem lovely rallies she dumped the ball into the Net or hit over the lines. Roger, if you observed, will never hit the service return for a winner. The first ball he will keep it in play and then develop the opening. Sania just wants to blast away every ball. However, what Sania has achieved in the Womens' Tennis world is amazing and so she feels she is entitled to all the nakra, false accents and showwomanship. Only exceptional atheletes like Roger, Nadal and Tiger will have the humility and poise.

she needs lot of delicate control over shots. She needs to learn playing dropshots and close to nets.
There is nothing new in it. It is actual tournament & it is not an ad shoot or exibition or fashion show or ceremony. There is Paes & Bhupati to watch for. They are true Tennis champs with proven skills over last many years.
