Indian media and glam industry is hell bent on spoiling the budding careers of promising Indian sportspersons. Sania was really on a high a couple of years back and constant focus on teh game could have taken her up further. But she got too much media hype and glam world attention too soon. It caused he tennis career to go down. Injury is an integral part of any player's career, but one comes back and regains his or her position again. In the case of Sania, she can't sing the usual complaint of Indian sportsperson that they did not receive support or exposure or such things...She got them in abundance. However, she was so much diverted towards the glam world that the focus was lost from the main event - Tennis. Looking at the current scenario its very tough for her to come back to the mainstream again. Group or team events are there but on the individual level we as Indians will definitely like to see her come back...but the way media is still overhyping her...it looks a distant possibility... I really pray that the famed Indian media and glam world has mercy on saina Nehwal and lets her to focus on her game without any distraction.

Or even better sit in front of computer and type messages criticising others..like how ralph is doing worthlessly
Does it matter that she loses in the first or second round? She has brought glory to India Tennis in general and to the Indian Women in particular. At least there is an Indian in the Grand Slams. There are mo men in any singles Grand Slam.
Let us encourage Sania Mirza and wish her all the best in the future events.ALL THE BEST SANIA

Definitely Sania has brought glory to Indain tennis and to the Indian woman. But, it does matter when she loses in the first or second round. with the loads of attention and publicity she is getting, expectations rise. You compete in an event for winning and not merely for participating.

As far as tennis in India goes, Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupati are the real torch bearers of tennis for India and respected all over the world. Although she is one of the best female sportsperson in India she is still not the best and her fan following is limited to Indians only. She is following our beloved Anna Kournikova. She is good but has to learn from cricketers how to manage the media. May by she could learn lesson or two from Dhoni and Sachin for time management. Ofcourse we are not in a position to advise and suggest a thing but whenever you carry your country's name with you, you have to take the additional responsibility of hopes of billion people.

But then they have to hype of some indians , Can they do so about gabbar who sits in couch and makes mother hood statements ! They have to go after who ever is alteast making an effort
She is the greatest FEMALE INDIAN tennis player ! 99% of the other females in india don't know what tennis is or even if they do, must have never ever seen/held a tennis racquet.....so stop criticising her !

There is no criticism. She is the greatest female Indian tennis player. But, there should be a correct evaluation of her abilities. She is not good enough to go past 2nd round. Grates Indian tennis palyer -Yes. But, she is past her prime now.
One more flop show . At least we are spared the reams of rubbish from the media had she advanced one more round. Unfortunately she seems to go downhill with the game but still trying to keep the endorsements going. Tough!!
