The problem is ... awards are not given on any specific basis - so the value is reduced & also - the person sitting on the seat of the president is a joke ... no one would really be keen to receive a hand shake - forget an award ... from that person ... the PM & President - a fine set to serve the nehru family!

The awards are given to performers and not just like that not me and you can get it and we have to keep in mind its the Govt of India and The president honoring our sportsmen not Nehru family
It is only in India that the cricketers are given much more importance than they deserve.It is a national waste of time and electricity which is denied to the persons in villages for increasing the farm productivity,it is high time that the policy is decided what is important the cricketers or the farmers who provide food to every one and the cricketers are nothing but a national waste.The persons who laid life on 26/11 are forgotten,it is a national shame to give importance to these unreal heroes who live for themselves,who earn for themeselves unlike the army personals who live for the country and die for the country.It is every soldier who should be honoured and not the ones who have no aim but to live and become famous for themselves and their family members.It is high time every Indian wakes up to realities and honour who desrve to be honoured and not those players/or sports which have given rise to betting, a national disaster,a dister for the families whose near one commits suicide because of loosing his wealth in such game.

Why ban them?? It is not them! It is you and me who make them heroes. They are just doing their jobs and getting a good salary for it!

no doubt they are taking salaries given by fools;but they should respect the counry;by not taking/coming for national awards (reason what so ever be) they are unfit to be in the team and hence ban them

VERY WELL SAID, MS. NEETA SHAH. IN FACT OUR POLITICIANS HAVE MADE A MOCKERY OF THE NATIONAL AWARDS. THEY ARE BEING GIVEN AWAY LIKE PARSHAD IN THE MANDIR.
Harbhajan Attitude is terrible and he doesn't deserve for this prestigious awars. In India everything is possible this time they should take any strong step to avoid in future.

The reason is because of they want to spent the time with their family memebrs before they leave to South Africa for IPL matches.It's a very long tour.
