Take a bow to the Champions of Europe!
by Ameet on May 22, 2008 10:13 AM  | Hide replies

Its been a while coming... and we finally made it!
Take a bow to United!
Glory Glory Man United!

It was heartening to see Sir Bobby Charlton up on the podium.
Sir Alex shows just why he is one of the best in the business.
Ronaldo was great through the game... though he did miss yet again.
Vidic had an awesome game and was a crucial piece. Ably supported by Rio.
Van de Saar saved the day, first with superb saves in regular time and with that save off Anelka.
Tevez worked hard, but missed an important chance.
Giggs showed just why we love him so much!
And ofcourse Scholes... it takes a person like him to return to the pitch with a broken nose and play his natural game. Kudos to him!

Kudos to UNITED!
Glory Glory UNITED! Glory Glory UNITED!

Apparently Mr. bharat speaks better than I do. I'll humour him on that.

Would request Mr. Bharat to post the link to where this post has been 'copied' from skysports.

If it is, I will hail it that my thoughts [Mr. bharat thinks otherwise] are in line with reality and what sky sports is saying as well.
If it is not, something tells me Mr. bharat will not reply to this post. If he does, it will be some profanity [in English of course] at best.

At the end of the day Chelsea were far more better team than Man U. They won EPL & Champ League with the help of refrees. Football bvl lose charm if refrees stand one sided. Ronaldo Sux big time... He is only a hype like tendulkar. He is known for dirty play.. come on Manu fans atleast be humble to accept that chelsea were the good side yday & in EPL..

what a sore loser u r praveen....just like your team!!ronaldo may suck or whatever....but 42 goals should shut up loser like you for sure!!And talkin abt dirty play, chelsea only have themselves to blame for drogba's childish rants!! And you expect Man u fans to accept tht chelsea were the best....atleast let them be the best losers for now!!!

hahahaha as a gunner fan i can accept the comment on ronaldo only. success is measured in terms of goals scored. may be referee is are commented, still you to admit the success of man united this season, whether you like or not

praveen, you have a typical lower class indian mentally.....your thots SUX big time.....the comparison you draw between ronaldo and tendulkar is weird.
i think its waste of time to react to your views....i think saurabh and others have made a very valid point.........
it seems that you have lost on some big money by placing it on CHELSEA!!!!

RE:as

mr praveen. sounds like grapes are really very sour. if you have followed the bpl you would have realised, as all the neutrals, that manutd were the best team over the 38 games. there is no second opinion. even the chelsea players have admitted that.

let us not talk about refereeing decisions. they are always up for debate. thank your stars that you got an unjustified penalty at stamford bridge against united! the title would have otherwise have been settled there and then!

as far as dirty players are concerned, no one needs reminding which team drogba plays on! a prolific and gifted striker, but can be a nut case quite often. we saw it yesterday at the champions league final!

and let me remind you that ronaldo will win every individual sporting award this season. stop talking about hype - he has scored 42 goals this season. and is the player of the year, without doubt.

loosing on penalties is brutal. but such is life. i can empathise with you, but learn to be gracious in defeat. chelsea might have won on the overall balance on the game yesterday. but manutd are the kings of europe. like it or not mr pradeep, you will have to live with it for a year more....

better luck next time!

Hey leave this poor guy. Cannot blame him. After all it is the way his brain is wired. Usually those who have never stepped out on a playground ever in their lives, but watch soap like couch potatoes, cannot appreciate any game. The brilliant leg work, ball control and strategy etc will not register in some dull minds.

Against the likes of Real Madrid & AC Milan.. and liverpool to some extent???????? Nah. too far away from being the greatest.Just figure out the nuber of times these teams have been european champions and then talk about greatness.

As a UNITED supporter, i grudgingly agree. But, then, we dont support it because it has [or does not have] the records to show for it.

We support the team because we believe it is true team with character and tenacity. The other team that comes close is Liverpool.

Madrid and Chelsea are money spinners at best. Nothing more and nothing less.
AC, Barcelona are great teams. Sometimes, its best not to compare greats.

Amit,

I do not follow the msg boards as regularly as some others probably do, but Champions League being a very spl occassion I started glancing over the comments ... and I must admit u hv a fabulously analytical bend of mind and extraordinary common sense ...

I agree 100 % .. and I really wish most do that it is perhaps best not to compare greats ...
