You're obviously a chelsea fan....but on what basis can you say that chelsea deserved to win...Both teams had even number of chances, both came very close to scoring 2nd and even 3rd goals....and as far as "whole of football governing body is against chelsea" part is concerned, that's all nonsense....Drogba deserved to be sent off..u cant slap player and get away with,it's always a straight red card, no matter which team...did'nt Nani get it on the last day of the EPL against Wigan???

All three games born in england - Soccer - for under privileged - Cricket - for Privileged few - Tennis - Over Privileged fewest
can't you make out looking at the crowd? and yes in India many of us don't understand any of above.

It shows how naive "super success" is regarding soccer. He does not understand this beautiful game at all

I was never a follower of soccer, but since am in Europe now, I keenly watch it. And let me clear that am not a Chelsea or ManU fan. I just like to see good soccer. Anyway, I happened to see the entire game and although ManU is good, Chelsea played a lot better and surely deserved to win. In the second half, most ManU players were actually pushing, kicking and punching Chelsea players, particularly Tevez who picked up the fight when Drogba was sent off, which again I feel was harsh and biased. If you can see it again, one would clearly notice a ManU player pushing the referee when he yellow-carded Tevez. ManU actually lowered so much was the quality of their gameplay that some of ManU fans watching the game with me too were nodding their heads in disgust. Many referee decisions too were given against Chelsea. When Ronaldo was diving over and over again, just to get a penalty, it was overlooked which surely deserves a yellow card or at least a warning. ManU just has good players, which doesn't mean they play good soccer, they didn't at least today. As far as the discussions I read above, some people seem to hate cricket, when it is rightly called a gentleman's game. Anyway, after I actually perceived a match-fixing issue, I stopped following cricket too much. In case of soccer, everyone knows how much fixing goes on. Since its a short duration game, and with no cameras used as referee as in cricket, the actual referees can turn the game anyway. Somehow I got that feeling today

I like your comment on good soccer. I dont think either team was getting the best behavior award tonite. That said, it was wrong to point out only the ManU players. As for Drogba, he obviously slapped [was shown in the replays and the referee was right there] Vidic. That my friend is a straight red card, no questions asked. Pushing, prodding and intimidation are not as grave offenses. Of all teams, Man U can hardly claim to have stars. Ronaldo was not a star when he arrived. Rooney was one that I can think of. Rio was becoming one... but he has been there for ages. Giggs and Scholes have grown with the club. Chelsea on the other hand, had the likes of Ballack, Drogba, Essian, Makalele who were bought when they were stars with sheer money power. Nothing wrong in that... but Chelsea is a lot like Real... lots of stars... just better in terms of results.
I fail to see how the referee influenced the game... there was no penalty given. Both goals were field goals. There was not a single penalty deserving offense that comes to mind. Things may have been close... but that does not mean that we curse the referee.
With regards to match fixing, Chelsea would have obviously have had the upper hand with Roman Abromvich ready to spend the money like he did [with black tickets]. Not complaining... sometimes its good to have the money to spend it.
Appreciate your comments, got the feeling that you need to learn a bit more about soccer.

hope this doesn't grow like Aamir-Shahrukh controversy no offence... typical ManU style reply... wat I say is d truth and rest all say is bullshit... with regards to learning soccer, I was a club player and asst coach myself... so I think I hv learnt enuff... besides since I'm in a EU country, soccer is considered as a religion here and discussed primarily even before politics... so I already hv info abt it... now d match-fixing issue... dunno if u ever had d chance to meet the bookies... if not, u can try find and go chk how it works... only one thing... rich or poor doesn't matter in it... also, its mostly black money involved and not white money... so one who looks rich "officially" may not even know how to fix...

United were unbeaten the entire champions league ... if there was any team that deserved to win it was united !!!
Chelsea had 3 crossbar hits ... United had 3 near goals !! Where is the luck here ? United were under extreme pressure in the penalties ... but they turned it around .. if u say terry slipped ... well then so did van der saar ... and that is how chelsea managed to equalize in the first place ...
