Congrats to Baichung & team and Houghton. Today it really seems it was a good decision for baichung to come out of his retirement. Let us prepare for more. Let:
1. Houghtom be given more say in national football matters 2. Find more yound players for reserve bench and replacement of some ageing players 3. Bring P.K. Banerjee or Chuni Goswami as head of indian Football Federation. Dasmunsi is no good and let us remove Cabinet Ministers from sports bodies. Savor this moment folks. Home media/corporate world now puts more money so that we play football more and with more seriousness than British Commonwealth game of cricket.

I add my voice to yours in removing non sprotspersons (esp politicians) from heading any sport federation. Also, we should develop a pool of players so that there should not be any dearth of player on the reserve bench. These politicians are just killing our sports and sportsmen. Recent example is of Monika Devi. Let us hope that the probe will be fair and the culprits will be punished. Boom, Boom sports!
This is fantastic!!!! Finally India are in the winning streak in Football... Unlike Cricket where just few countries play, Football has more playing nations and is the most loved sports in the world... I think we should have more Football Tournaments and involve Private companies to auction out players for their clubs... This will encourage all footballers of this country and will ensure that India will be a much stronger team... Our officials need to ensure that there are proper training facilities for Footballers, more exposure by inviting foreign players to play in Indian clubs at the moment there are mostly african players playing for indian clubs may be if we can introduce some other country players that will help a lot to our football players. Great Job coach in ensuring Team India has won this Cup!!

i know bhaichung very well from his time in uk, and he once said to me.." i speak to everyone but most people start talking rubbish after the first 2 sentences!" i think he's wrong..it's one sentence in some cases..haha! well done india!
I hope people of India will support sports like hockey, football, gymnastics, swiming, etc. and will not go crazy for cricket alone. As we know what our cricket stars do on the field and the global standing for cricket in the world.

People already support all types of sport. It is the govt and corporate world who has to come forward and put money in it.
I love football and the game played by our Indian Football team. These guys really worked hard. They deserved this title victory. They have started to bring India on Top. Soon they will bring more cups for India...I want to see WORLD CUP in the hands of my Indian team and i do believe that our Indian team can do it....Keep it up Bhutia, chettri and other guys...keep it up !!! 1.Sultanate of brunei 2.Greenland 3.Antartica 4.State of Alaska (little doubtful here- there are about 20 ppl leaving here) 5. The city of Darfur (no NOT Sudan...that will be streaching it) and loads of countries like these 4.
