shut up!! your so acclaimed cricketers have been defeated by ajantha mendis single handedly. This is the beginning of the resurgence of indian football. Indians have been asian champions, placed 4th in olympics and qualified for world cup(though could not participate due to lack of funds) way before your gilli-dunda boys could achieve a test win at home soil. People outside the subcontinent hardly care about cricket. Even in australia, hockey, baseball and rugby are far more popular. So do not be so eloquent about being king of jhumritalaya. Try to find a place for india in a really elite sport with true global appeal.

get to school and learn english properly. I said 'biggining of resurgence' There is surely a lot to acheive but we are on teh right track. Even china was in similar situation in mid 90s. From there they went on to play world cup in 2002. and india's wc win in cricket is also a feat of distant past. 25 years!! so stop licking the stick. Abay Bong. Dont talk about india qualifying for r1950 world cup. The Reality is Group 4 had four Asian teams Burma,Philippines,Indonesia and India. All the team except india withdrew so india qualified automatically.But India later also withdrew after a FIFA ruling that players were not allowed to play barefoot(hahahha Saale Bhikari), and FIFA decided not to invite anyone else, leaving the World Cup three teams short
We the Indians having 1.1 Billions population loved ate digested cricket. The time has come for all of us to forget the cricket as the cricketing heros started sliding down but in another sports India trying its best to catch the other segment.Let us cheer those other sports and leave cricket as the Top fab four are failing and still the board retains them at the cost of budding cricketers

Totally agree....Tis country is Fifa ranked 165, lower than even maldives. YEt ppl get carried away, thinking that they are now ready to compete against germany,spain,croatia etc. Chetri,bhutia are not gud enuf for the english 3rd league also.

Unfortunately i could watch the first 3 goals after that there was no cable network in our locality.Even rediff was busy promoting sania mirza and leander-bhupathy.It was from expressindia site i came to know of india's victory.That too it was a headline with no detail coverage This is the level of of importance you media people attach to the most popular game in the world.
