Being a Bong I congratulate you Vishi, one of the best sport persons of India. I am proud of Ganguly, Sanchin and other great Indian sport persons also. Get a life you regionalists.

Congratulations to Anand on his achievement.
I don%u2019t see anything wrong by expressing his happiness by calling Anand as a Tamilian. He is an Indian and also a Tamilian. FYI, I am not a Tamilian.
When someone asks you your last name then are you going to say your actual last name (which may be your ancestors%u2019 original/native place or your parent%u2019s name) not INDIAN. This is true with any other person in the world. When you achieve something your near and dear will be happy more happy than any other because they know you personally and directly related to you and not because you are an Indian or Asian or something else.
Everyone wants to get more of the happiness by relating the successful people to them in a closer way, Like we are doing my relating Anand as Indian. At the same time a person from any other country in Asia can relate Anand as an Asian and share happiness.
Sunitha Williams is not the only astronaut to go into the space. She has colleagues in that mission too. But we are happy because one among us is directly part of that mission.
Please don%u2019t get into unnecessary discussions.

What is that pinching you Rajpal. Anand is an Indian and he is Tamil also. What's wrong when Sai Ganesh expressed his happiness, he did not talk ill of others (what u frequently see in rediff message board). I have seen here people shamelessly flaunt - all Bongs go ga ga over Gunguly, likewise the 'kars' over Sachin so on. In fact this is the only time u can see the true Indian Identity .Forget not this is because the Tamils did not behave in the same way.
Title of world champion is a great tribute to this great sprtsperson. Let the nation celebrate a true champion for winning in a game plyed across the globe & not in just 12 countries.
