good job

Good job Sania. Its not easy to play consistently all through the week and Sania played three setters in most of her match including last week at Cincinati. It was obvious that Sania was tired. On the whole it was a great run from her as no one expected her to beat the seeds one after another and it was the best confidence booster for her future tournaments.Loosers who have everything negative about Sania are sick.Do they ever have anything good to say about anything.Let them play one game among the women and they can comment on it later.I can see them running helter skelter with their tails in between trying to dodge the smash from Justine,Sharapova and Moresmo.

Fitness matters. Not losing consistently. Hype is BS

Overweight Sania was tired and ChakdePhatze kicked her around the court. Mirza is a top class heavyweight (lbs only)that can't compete with lithe fast movers like V Williams, Ivanovic, and Henin. People younger than her, and less hyped than her have won GSlams.

And stop giving the same old argument that at least a Indian woman has made it this far. What BS - she had all the facilities. Are our expectations always so low? It's a level playing field and most are just way better than her.

Can you imagine a Serbian or Jap saying 'at least Winovic or Takeshi came to the II rd - no other Serb, Jap is world 78' . No, they'll be talked about only if at the top.

That too, they are not hyped for losing like Mirza. Other wannabe nations look for the top ranking, nothing less.

Sania can be better!

Guys!
I just wanted to add to my comments that in the previous tournament where Sania lost to same Chakvatadze in the semis. Sania took her to 3 sets and almost won. What I am saying is that Sania cannot just depend on her awesome forehand alone; she needs a good coach.

Sania didn't try enough!
by RN Iyengar on Jul 31, 2007 08:48 AM

I watched the whole match and it is my view that Sania did not give it all - 100%. During the game, Pam Schriber asked Sania's mom as to why Sania wasn't with it; you know what the mother said? She thought that maybe Sania is very happy that she came up to the final and that is good enough!!
Sania let go very many opportunities to take the match. Chakvatadze is not that good a player and Sania could have taken her.
When you have your oppononent completely out of the court, the smart thing to do is to go to the net and finish it off, which Sania didn't do; that was why she lost. She simply gave away too many freebies to Anne C.
