You see, looks like everyone knows fat Sania can't move around the court.

So much hype for such overrated nonsense. And she still loses again at the end.

did u see her? either on court or on TV today(Stanford finals)? At least look at the photo in rediff. She has lost quite some weight and looking very atheletic. What anna probably meant to say is hitting big forhands when the ball is in hitting zone is much easier compared to hit it on the run.
Of course along with vollyes, 2nd serve, movement (which is probably what makes her defense so week as well) is also one area she needs to improve along with her beleif that she is indeed a top 10 quality. I think more wins will bring that belief.
Regarding movement there is two things she can defnitley improve her speed but getting on to every shot with right balance is another thing. She can improve her speed, but not too sure how one can master the other part, which is kind of a born quality. Which is what makes Roger Federer, martina Hingis and even this girl Chakvetedzy has some of it.

How accomplished are you? Have you seen her forehand in the semis? Do you even know the sport? With this performance, she is moving under top thirty! I guess some people just can't appreciate talent when they see one

Show me one female sportswoman from India who has reached heights that Sania has. Whatever she achieves is a first, remember that. Even if she loses in the first round it is a first (bcos hardly anyother female tennis player from india has done that), and even if she loses in the first round it will be a first. She is a role model to all the female sportspersons in India. Stop ur chauvinistic comments, because like me there are millions of other men in India who are proud to see an Indian woman doing well.
Sania Mirza we are proud of you, we know u may or may not win a major tournament, but u have shown the way for women in India to take up sports seriously and corporates to start looking outside men and cricket when it comes to sponsoring sportspersons. Keep going Sania and all the best.

Saniya, you may have not won the singles, but whatever you achieved is no less. may God bless you. May you achieve more in future. Let fools talk any thing, but you deserve a comment of praise.

Winning ways

I am a big fan of her and tennis in general. It was interesting to hear her mom's viewpoint when she was approached by an ESPN commentator. She said something like 'Perhaps she lacks the hunger to win this one as she has had a fabulous week'. Although it may have been an inopportune moment to make such a comment, I believe it lends some insight. Sania has got one of the best forehands in women tennis. Her movement on court is improving as well, and her serve has slightly improved over last year. Her next step is to have that hunger to be in the top 10. That is what differentiates a top 10 player from a top 30 player. The hunger to be the best. I could not see the dissapointment on her face one would expect after losing a final. I hope she believes she can be a top 10 player because she does have the game for it. Go Sania!

Keep Going Sania!!!

What ever the idiots criticize you, never bother for all those things. You know better what you are, and I have a confidence that you will one day win a grandslam. If you take an example of Gabriela Sabatini where I was a great fan of her. She was ranked No. 2 in the world next to Steffi Graf at one time if I am not wrong. She could manage to win only one one grandslam that is US Open. She also came very close to win the Wimbledon but eventually lost to steffi. So, you keep going and never bother about others criticism but take it positively and prove them one day that you are the best. I know you are a fighter and win many matches and grandslams in your career. I wish you all the best for your future. I keep cheering for you even until you achieve big things. I know some idiots who can comment on you cannot even hit a ball over the net like you. You have a very strong forehand which steffi dominated the whole world with that. I think you can also do that where you can keep your body fit and play more matches. Experience brings you lot of talents in you. Today you can beat top 20 players, so tomorrow you can bet the top 10 players where you have already beaten Nadia Petrova once.

God is there for you and keep going and play until you achieve for yourself and for India.
