Great players ,great match
by Rajendra Kulkarni on Jul 09, 2007 08:26 AM

The poise, the temperament, the skill of both the players was wonderful.Though I wished Fed to win ,I came to admire the grit and determination of Rafa the Clay King.To challenge a player like Fed on grass and make him weep after winning sure speak volumes about Rafa. Thanks both players to give us this opportunity to watch a great match.

Very true! Nothing much to distinguish, though confidence of the leaders seems to have prevailed.

You are right buddy...
We should now stop calling him 'Clay King'...
He is of course clay king... But he has now proven that he is capable of playing great tennis on grass too...
Hats off to Rafa !!!

Federers current ATP ranking is 7290 by the time he retires it might be in the range of 12000!! which means even after retiring he might stay world no.1 for another 3-4 months unbelievable!!

nope.. even if he wins all tournaments he plays in year the max points he can get are only 8000.. the ATP raking system is such that it takes the 11 best results of a persn plus 4 grandslams and then adds all the points he has earned in these tournaments. even if fedex wins all 15 tournaments he can get only around 9000. but it is true that with 9000 points he can stay no.1 for a couple of months

Too good a game!
by manuel arun on Jul 09, 2007 07:13 AM

The game between Federer and Nadal resembled epic battles in the past like the ones between Sampras and Agassi or Becker and Lendle. I dont see this game as an end to the Federer era but as a beginning of a new era where there will be more closer and tougher competitions between the champ and the challenger.Federer's game is full of sublime touches and powerful ground strokes whereas Nadal's game is power and aggression. Two wonderful champs! Lets have more of these two legends!

Aalsi,
Rafa is 21 and Fedex is 25.And he is winning since past 5 yrs means when he was 20.Fedex will not let Rafa touch other 3 grand slams.

Federer:True Champion
by ankur on Jul 09, 2007 05:26 AM

This match was between an out of form Federer and in-terrible-form Nadal.Even that could not change the result.Let Fedex regain his form and he ll defeat Rafa like he defeats all his opponents.
