by Ashok Sapre on Nov 17, 2018 08:32 AM  | Hide replies

A very simple question here. IN USA the negotiating party is entitled to brokerage on any commercial deal.Secondly can some one explain if prices of any commodity which has remained same or come down from 2014 to 2018.

What so ever rate may be , what so ever configuration the fighter had,Congress has no rights to play with the security of the nation just because Congress is not in power and when they were in power, why did they not purchased for Indian airforce.Congress always believed in their own commission first and nation afterwards.Unfortunately the Congress president is immature ( there are many experienced & matured leaders in Congress like Sibal,Kharge,Singhavi etc but they are also helpless.

One of the most significant observations
by piri on Nov 17, 2018 12:58 AM  | Hide replies

in this write up is that the Dassault CEO, Eric Trappier, confirmed during the Feb 2015 Aero India show in Bangalore (just 2 months before komaaaali Modi cancelled the 126 Rafale deal between Dassault and HAL) that the price of the fighter in that deal remained the same as from day 1 of the identification of the L 1 bidder !

In other words, he confirmed that the price of the Rafale jet would remain the same regardless of the passage of 3 years !

price comparison
by Sudarshan Nityananda on Nov 16, 2018 08:13 PM  | Hide replies

Ajai Shukla may well be right and has written a very clear pice unlike our politicians.
However, he must apply at least a 3 % inflation clause to the prices . After 2012 the prices would have risen by about 12 % by 2016. hence the difference between uPA and NDA pricing will come down.

Nevertheless the NDA still needs to explain the 30 % differential . Can they prove that much superior weapons and avionics were offerred by France in 2015 ?

NDA need not explain anything. Just read the article carefully. He says "while the price of 18 flyaway aircraft is not known" how does he come to total price of Euro 155 million per aircraft? For those 18 flyaway, Congress must have sought bribes in Foreign Exchange since what was to be built locally, if at all, would not have yielded anything for them.
