Rafaledeal and the drama
by jai ghosh on Nov 17, 2018 12:47 PM  | Hide replies

Col. Athale (Retd.) has made a valiant effort to educate the common man on such issues like Rafale deal. I have all praises for him in this regard. However, citizens of this country must remember it is not the Rafale deal that is being hyped by the opposition like Congress and its allies, it is the issue of coming back to power by these opposition parties by hook or by crook as they are now penniless. Previously they had all the money for their personal use and some for party use (not for any national development) by robbing the national exchequer. Now this is not possible and they anr as blood thirsty ans money thirsty. Therefore, any issue (which is not a issue) is used as weapon to kill the ruling party and come to power and Rafale deal is one such issue. They are not bothered about developing /modernising the army or defense to protect the nation but only interested in getting back to power so that they can start the looting process of the national exchequer.

that is why petitioners against Rafael deal should be given exemplary punishment as deterrence for those who want to play with national interests for vested interests!!

kickbacks in defence deals.
by ASHKO KUMAR DHANUKA on Nov 17, 2018 10:20 AM  | Hide replies

Friends-I am not here to debate as to who is corrupt or who is not, whether any wrong doing was there in rafale deal or not, whether any kickbacks were made in Bofors deal or not..Main point is that a good part of out GDP is spent on buying arms and artilleries from other countries, and,in the name of secrecy there is every possibility that hefty sums can be siphoned out..may be Govt. have not done anything wrong, but suspicion will always remain and mud slinging will always be done by opposition parties for political gain.As such it is necessary that in national interest all parties must come above politics, sit together and find a way out so that atleast in the defence deals money is not leaked out-at the same time secrecy is maintained on specific points..

PIL addicted lawyers may be aghast!
by Jagdish Dubey on Nov 16, 2018 05:06 PM  | Hide replies

That sums up. The anti national community including politicians and PIL wallas will thwart any endeavour by this government to strengthen our secret defence capabilities. Beside our enemies and adversaries, moneyed defence suppliers who missed the contracts may also be interested in defeating such highly confidential efforts hence funding may not be a problem for anti national forces. But people of this nation expect and request Hon'ble Supreme Court safe guard national security and leave it to those who are responsible for it.

Judiciary should not impinge on Legislative or executive
by Manian on Nov 16, 2018 11:15 AM  | Hide replies

There are checks and balances in every government procurement. If Judiciary has to enter before procurement and order investigation it will be chaos. Take for example the 2G scam and Coal-gate scam, it was brought to light by CAG and then it went to court who cancelled the allotment because it was malafide and to benefit few agencies. But criminal action could not so far sustain because there is no criminality which is established. Similarly allow the process of CAG etc to go through and then based on any adverse finding it can be taken up. Does PIL crazy activist get information from competitors to get the deal cancelled or from other countries so that there is a delay in Procurement. You cannot have court representative running government. There is a chaos in Delhi government thanks to BJP loyalist sitting in Delhi and now people are upping the ante against BJP. Let not the interest of the country suffer.
