Statue of ImpUnity...Convenient Interpretations of Norms
by Chaitanya B on Nov 08, 2018 10:10 AM  | Hide replies

Looks like the PSUs can interpret anything as CSR.

They can build a whole residential township and claim it is going to promote education and development along the Narmada river.

Sadly, it never occurred to them to give me just one small fraction -- just one crore, out of the 2.93 billion. I'm part of this society, and giving that one crore to me would have certainly qualified as CSR.

And the status of the Iron Man is all made of IRON.

Now, how long is that IRON going to last?

Now, for what other hare-brained schemes is this govt trying to bully the RBI into handing over surplus funds?

Instead of using your own logic all the time and writing nonsense, why dont you challenge the decision of PSUs for their contribution in building statue of a great Sardar patel before appropriate legal authorities ?

Nice try -- to deflect from the points -- by asking why don't you do this, why don't you do that, etc.

If you have any points to objectively counter what I've expressed, feel free to express that.

Did you raised any objections against any of the misdeeds committed prior to this NDA government ? You bias and color blind people only find everything wrong in whatever this present government do. There is no merit in any of the objections raised by you as usual.

Modi's acts of indiscretion
by KARAN on Nov 08, 2018 09:53 AM

While modi appears to be honest,
One is constantly surprised
on some of his acts which could
be be termed as acts of indiscretion:
,#1.Appointment of Arun jaitley,who
Would easily be the most harmful, ignorent Finance minister of post independent india.
#2.Why such a thoughtless execution
of demonitisation process,again
is it due to the horrible FM
#3.Why such poor implentation of GST.
#4.Why no inbestigation as to why Vijay mallaya, nirav modi, choksi were allowed to flee india.
#5.Why no effort to bring back black money, inspite of erudite Dr.Swamy
constantly reminding about that.Is this also due Arun jaitley.
#6.Inspite of almost all the above
stated diffienciency pointing to the
useless arun jaitley, why not throwing arun jaitley out of ministry and party.

5 PSUs gave Rs 1.47 bn for Statue of Unity
by MUTHUKRISHNAN RAMESH on Nov 08, 2018 09:40 AM  | Hide replies

As an one off case you can qualify it as a CSR as it is going develop that area and generate employment, business opportunities and tourism which is going to be a long term benefit...What is sad with Mr. Modi is he is more focussed on Gujarat for such projects and not elsewhere.. we thought him to be prudent and fair when he suggested that RD and ID celebrations will be celebrated in the different capitals across the country. But such broader view of him is not visible during his tenure...
