This is no different than all the companies across the world. They assign the fresh recruits after their 3 month or 1 month training...after evaluating the right fit. What is wrong with that ? Very good move.
This fellow is a son of a Congress leader from Raj and is a maha corrupt man...known for his proximity to Chiddu and all theh stink that he left with in India with the NPA mess and the changes his handpicked fellow former PNB chairperson made that lead to Nirav Modi scam. Ask him about the real estate wealth he made during those UPA years thanks to crony capitalism.
Are we going to get Parrots as bureaucrats? I believe hardly anybody joins the service to serve the nation. They join it for glamour,social position and various out of the turn favours. If you are a Parrot, you gain a lot for yourself and your family. If you are not, your life can be miserable. My suggestion is to recruit people with experience, honesty and domain knowledge.
The babudom we have had in this country for centuries has worked well, established norms, delays, space for corruption etc., but it brought the rule of law and presence of government. I do not think the PM should tinker with that because he, personally, is not at all competent and qualified to do that. Starting with "Ganesha`s "Plastic Surgery" speech to informal summits and other Tughlak actions, the country now know that the babu exercise is nothing but a diversion. Let us understand the deeper reason for this mischief and resist it.

Babus are the most corrupt part of the system in India...they are the ones who actively connive with the politicians and cronies to support corruption and tax cheating.

I don't understand why do you give so much importance to the views of someone Like Dr. Mayaram who by serving the nation (sic) brought us to this pass. They are required keep their mouth shut. We only know what kind of demon has been created in the name of independent bureaucracy. All are arrogant and think this country to be a colony. The changes suggested are welcome.

In non-govt professional life you have PMS system then why Govt officials are agaist it. I recommend these guys to go under 3 months evaluation system and based on the rankings they must be assign the accurate job
