Normally highly arrogant, do not meet normally, rather everyone is to wait for them even for hours, few are even insulting Ministers to come in lime light, majority of them identify themselves with some political party.
Indianisation of services must be done to strengthen democracy and bring them in accountability.

Change in the system of appointing beraucrats
by Shrinivaasan Swaminathan on May 25, 2018 10:00 PM

As pointed out aptly by one of the readers , we had a parrot and dumb PM, who never had the courage to stand up against the behind the scene operators. There were columns saying that the existing wonderful beraucratic systems had become so rotten that even PM's office has been bypassed in major scandals.

This has led to the loss of lacs of crores of money.

After all What this beraucrats did.I feel so ashamed to say that we had an era of policy paralysi They also became hand in glove with the ministers and made their fair share of money .If caught , many cases ministers get away and beraucrats gets trapped.

So the existing system has rampant loopholes , which the new system may alleviate. Here is someone coming with suggestions for change and your columnist is crying foul instead of wa

May be it has nationalistic undertones which are good for the country. let it come out and we can see ow good or bad the changes are.

Further rediff should encourage such columnists who should welcome changes and not be critics with negative frame of mind and Anti Modi.( the writer is neutral person and a strong nationalist with military background)

It is high time you get such columnists who writes more on good developments .

Reg Other bad things there are many to write.

First you should change rather than encouraging fellows who questions the govt .All said and done the present system has become rotten in these 6 decades and may be requires OVERHAUL for the good .

We do not know Bureaucrats are made parrots

We do not know Bureaucrats are made parrots but citizens are rendered sick cynics by media.

Media thriving on negative news. When there is no news, create negative news.

Plant suspicion, doubt, trivia and bogus analysis. The hall marks of Indian media today is the quality of scandalizing every institution, establishment and system which most of the time it has not comprehension of.

well said, hats off to you.
I have seen a whatsup message some time back saying the following,

Quote.
"Are you feeling that there is no safety in india
Are you feeling that more rapes are happening in India
Are you feeling that ...... in India etc etc

Then stop watching social media"

Unquote"

How true it is. Media is dectating our thought process. They make truth as fake and vice versa.

We have to be increasingly careful now.

It is 100% true.it is also true for most of the govt run organisation.if your boss does not like his subordinate his carrier is finished how much efficient you are, does not matter.boss will survive as he surrenders totally to politicians.every one knows the intention of the most of the politicians. When this will change GOD only knows.

Correct selection
by Rajesh Dharawat on May 25, 2018 06:40 PM

This is definitely a one sided view. Everyone knows that in the corridors of power, babus use all their influence to get prime posts in preferable states. Somebody has clicked off non-entities like Syed Firdaus or Dr. Arvind. In fact, they are parroting.
