HUNG ASSEMBLY OPPORTUNITY FOR POLITICAL RECTITUDE
by damodaran mohan on May 16, 2018 04:57 PM  | Hide replies

Every thing cannot be written in the constitution which expects people holding high constitutional posts to be persons of high integrity and character taking decisions in accordance with holding the spirit of constitution. While Guv.'s role has been found questionable in the past too but under the present regime it has become more of a rule than exception when it comes to arbitrary decisions by Guvs in state after state further reinforcing the idea that a change of regime by voting not necessarily is a change for better leave aside a transformational change. Mostly the new regime continues with all that was wrong in the past regime w/o batting a eyelid and criticized by it while in the opposition. In fact the hung assembly should be an opportunity for the political class to show its political rectitude and raise the bar of political behavior. So I would rather advise Cong & JD(s) not to claim to form the govt. right away and wait given that it looks to be a vote against Cong. Let's say the Guv invites BJP,the single largest party which is in order. But BJP can't form the govt. w/o breaking the opposition party with inducements or wherever which goes against the tenets of constitution. Then the only right option for the BJP will be to decline the invitation saying he is not in a position to form the govt. Then the Guv. invites the 2nd largest party or the JD(s) leader of the post-poll alliance.

(contd.)When our Guvs and political class set example of such political correct and ethical behavior then only India can be a corruption free country and march ahead to become a developed country.

Author should not force his prejudice on viewers
by Chet on May 16, 2018 02:58 PM  | Hide replies

I am Modi supporter and I think the interview by Vice Chancellor "Faizan Mustafa" is quite sensible.

But not author Mr 'Syed Firdaus Ashraf' as we clearly see what is agenda. He just picked up "The governor's office under the BJP has become a BJP party office" sentence among many politically correct statements. It shows how much prejudice is the author against BJP. As a author he cannot prescribe his prejudice on viewers.

Anyway, political party do play politics to stay in power. It is universal phenomenon.

Presidential Rule is Preferred - Let BJP Rule from Centre
by Sameer AM on May 16, 2018 02:40 PM  | Hide replies

The Elections has not given clear majoirty to BJP and getting highest number of MLAs without reaching the Simple Majority is not enough to form the Govt.

People have given fractures Mandate

BJP is favour by the EVMs many thing have time again proven, the Public has well understood that it is the game of EVMs.

We need to wait for another elections till then it is better to have Central Rule

Let the BJP Rule the State directly from Centre
