In name of caste, rich people of so called scheduled caste are enjoying high positions in govt jobs and their children are getting seats in best colleges. Because of these rich people, the children of poor (brahmin cooks, security guards etc) have to struggle harder for their education and livelihood. Instead of reservations, if Govt schemes promote inter-caste marriages, the caste system will go away which the reservation system could not do in last 70 years. So, its good to scrap all the existing laws which gives special power and benefits to one caste over another.
Ancient Tamil Poet Thirukkural writes some 2000 years ago PIRAPPOKKUM ELLAA UYIRKKUM SIRAPPOVVVA SEITHOZHIL VETRYNAI YAAN means 'All men that live are ONE in circumstances of birth, diversities of work gives each his special worth' - some 2000 years ago there were no mentioning in Thirukkural about any community or any religion. Only after 9/10th century it came into existence and still being continued. People who have been doing specific jobs/works were classified in different communities and classified as Upper and lower etc. Mostly persons who are doing the job of agriculture and some dirt jobs are classified as lower caste - may be due to poverty and illiteracy and were being suppressed. People were divided since then. Since 1947 it is reclassified as per the existing classification.

The act was used indiscrimately in villages by police to target upper class people.SC is absolutely right in striking down an act that an inhuman in character
How somebody can just arrest in the false or true complaints by any boyd belongs to caste. Lots of people are exploiting the situation situations ng thenorivisinnifvact. SC has taken right step. Givernment shidule not appeal in. Court of law
even after 300 years. British have been kind enough to leave this legacy and the Congress was the first to cotton on to the concept of 'Divide & Rule'. Since then every two-bit politician and party have done this time and again. Who cares about India? We just care about our own moolah ... nothing else matters.
The solution is remove all castes in every religion. No more brahmins and no more Dalits, everyone in Hindu will be Hindu, and can give and take in marriages. Likewise with other religions.. This will pave way for removing all quotas (SC/ST/Dalits/ Minorities etc), the only quota to exist should be below BPL and above BPL.. With doing the above, the other thing is to do is, give free & same schooling to all Indian children and free health to all
