IN the recent years a disturbing trend has emerged among the political parties and even the lay public. As and when a verdict is pronounced by a court on a case that has attracted public attention, two groups form, those who welcome and hail the verdict and those who condemn and say the judiciary has favoured X or Y. If today's verdict is overturned by a higher court some time later these groups are up again, but now the groups sing a different tune. The higher court has finally upheld the law, justice has finally been done says one group, the courts have succumbed to the vituperative propaganda of the press and the government of the day has browbeaten the judiciary say the other.
This state of affairs has been seen and repeated with saddening regularity. Given the nature of such decisions, it is inevitable that one side feels vindicated and the other vengeful. Some in the groups go even further and say the court has finally done the right thing, but they should have done this much earlier, the judgement should have been more forthright in condemning X and awarded much harsher punishment for Y. The same mindset replays itself after election results are announced. What have we as a society reduced ourselves to? When a constitutionally appointed authority such as the court or the electorate gives a verdict, it may not be to one's liking. But as civilized people it is our duty to accept it. To insist that my view point alone is right is being pigheaded and obstinate.

I agree to most of your arguments. But consider this case: A judge gives an order dismissing a petition where he himself is the (or one of the) defendant. That is the medical admission scam where the CBI had said that it had evidence that the CJI was also involved and the very CJI transferred the case to himself and dismissed it. Now would you consider my views as well?

Considering all views, it is important to note that "5 reasons of impeachment" doesn't include the most important trigger, viz. Refusal To Postpone Hearing Of Ram JanmaBhumi case beyond 2019 General Elections. If CJI does that, he will curry favour from Hon. Mr Kapil Sibal, Hon. Justice Chelameswar (who was seen in the company of Communist Strongman D Raja) etc. They will turn into his defenders.

Ram Janmabhoomi verdict, Aadhar verdict are the two main reasons why the opposition trying to impeach CJI. They want to dragon these cases for ever to gain political mileage which the CJI is not agreeing.
The MPs & political parties supporting the Impeachment Motion are corrupt & want to spoil the atmosphere of the country. They can go to any extent to vititiate the atmosphere. They are not bothered about the country or the people ...they are selfish bunch of frustrated individual & will be punished by the people of India whenever they go to them for elections or fresh mandate.
These empty minded leaders of opposition can do anything to tease the Government. Now they have chosen Judisiary as medium. But people are watching all these. They will treat them more harshly than previous elections!

I think the heavenly bodies have now aligned themselves in favor of BJP. Now on one can stop Modi from being PM again in 2019.
He will rip the Opposition apart inside and outside the parliament.
Such brazen acts of trying to impeach a CJI because he did not do you a favor but did what is right? It was well planned strategy in cahoot with the 4 musketeers after the rout in UP assembly polls.
