Now coming to present times Law protecting SC/ST must continue till ground situation improves.However if misuse is proven then sever punishment be laid down so that nobody will think of its misuse.
However everybody must appreciate that Government ,National as well state must promote brotherhood amongst the populace and this Bitter Medicine can not continue till eternity ... Long live our DEAR NATION!!

The way politicians have used and still using the tool of Reservation as vote bank politics counter agitation by non Reserved casts is not far off.People are agitated when SC student with 55 marks get selected in IIT and Gen student gets rejected even with plus 100 marks.Counter revolution may follow soon if real and just order is not restored.It is impossible to expect that order from Politicians.Even Review of reservation is not acceptable to them.Supreme Court is the only hope left.

Ambedkar wanted this reservation system for JUST 10 years post independence - as a spark.
His idea was to create a group of people from SC and ST communities who are well read, well placed and they will continue to inspire the next generations of SC ST communities who pursue education.
But it is like this. Once you are used to easy life, no one can convince you go work hard. Especially in India.
So they created the stories of oppression, denial of rights and so on. To an extent it is true.
Even so , reservations for SC and ST is still ok. But then suddenly half a dozen OTHER BACKWARD castes jumped to the fore and claimed WE TOO WERE oppressed. Then the whole thing went into a freebie cycle.
SO FAR , THE RESERVATIONS SYSTEM WAS EXTENDED 8 TIMES AND CREATED A COUNTRY WHERE HALF THE PEOPLE ARE SELECTED BASED ON CASTE AND NOT BASED ON WHETHER THEY ARE FIT FOR A JOB OR NOT.

The 10 years thing was not what Aambedkar wanted it was done through majority vote by Congress. They also wanted hundred percent literacy in ten years. So we will talk about reservation when we have hundred percent literacy

Literacy WAS NEVER an aspect. or reservation was never to do with literacy. That is fake claim number one.
Secondly, the idea of empowerment ( if you want to call it that way) was to enable people of all sections live with dignity in free India.
The question you had asked a while ago Why branhmins who were involved in temples doing poojas want Engineering and Doctors. Same question was asked of other castes - for example of the caste who were involved in Labor. Why Laborers need education.
( Susruta, Charaka - the ancient doctors were Branhmins And Mihiracharya the most famous engineer of the lore is a bradmin is a fact you may not know and these are just examples).
So coming back to the point. In order to dismantle the system that makes a laborer to remain laborer, the system of social empowerment was started ( ironically , it was started by Brahmin Scholars of the post independence India and now they repent).
Secondly, How LONG will you support the a$$ of a person climbing a tree ? At some point he has to learn to climb the tree. The nation is paying concessions with tax money for over 7 decades now. It is time to voluntarily come out and adopt a respectable path.

My dear I have utmost respect for the Brahmins and I agree they have done a lot for the country. But to say that the upper castes havent deprived the lower castes is false. You have to support the a$$ or he will fall on your face. The nation also includes 90 crores of obc, sc and st and you are not supporting them. They maybe supporting you.

It is not right to blame Dr. Ambedkar. His recommendations were different. What really has spoiled the system is perpetuating reservations sine die. I would blame someone like V P Singh much more than I would blame Ambedkar.
The whole reservation system is a FRAUUD and discriminating in nature and creates a society of freeloaders . More and more castes want to be included in reserved categories shows the extent of this sickness. Every one claims that they were OPPRESSED and hence want free ride now. Jats, Patels, Marathas , you name it.
It cuts a slice of the nations's resources and put away for 'privileged' sections ( who claim they were oppressed by so called upper castes about 300 years ago).
The myth and urban legend created around this whole thing of social justice is a complete FRAUUD and does not stand scrutiny of the most rudimentary of rational discussion.
year after year , media and scum bag politicians created an ENIGMA around reservations rendering it a VERY SENSITIVE issue. It became so enigmatic that no one wants to even comment on it let alone talk about reviewing it.
Each time some one does it , this so called DALIT ANGER shows and buring buses, destruction of proprty and mob violence happens. Political parties do not want to deal with it even though every one knows that it is BROAD DAY LIGHT ROBBING of a section of citizens ( unreserved category) of their rights to resources of this country.
An open and honest discussion on this reservations issue is very long due.

Life does not work unfortunately on percentage system. Life works on whether you are FIT for a job, whether you have what it takes to do justice to what you do etc.
Even if I tell you where I got this knowledge and give you a free tutorial ( knowledge for dummies) , you won't figure it out with your pea brain. So do not go in that direction.
Go and understand what affirmative action first. Read, Contemplate. Understand. Do not just plagiarize stuff from some two dime web site and puke on us.
In Japan , US, China, they cringe with SHAME if you offer reservations. The black people in the USA and the native Americans out rightly refused reservations when they were offered such stuff ( sadly ala India ) during FDR administration. Affirmative action means ENABLING DEPRIVED SECTIONS OF SOCIETY TO COMPETE. It is done through easy financing , free coaching, free amenities and infrastructure where necessary because in most cases it is the economic criteria which deprives a person from competing with the main stream.
Affirmative action is NOT letting a person who failed to scope 30 marks out of 100 to get a job in critical areas such as teaching, research or administration.
Our misfortune is that , our society accepted this evil as it is . No one has time to discuss it openly.

Affirmative action in US means there is no fixed quota but an institute or company has to give representation to ethnic origins, colored and native americans equivalent to there percentage in population. Hope u understand. That includes lowering eligibility criteria and even SAT scores

To call them dalit is an abuse created by Mayawati to spread hate among masses. Congress accepted it for dividing Hindu votes.
