i person ally feel there is nothing wrong in standing for 52 seconds. even now, without standing many are avoiding standing during the playing of national anthem whiling away time outside like spending time near the canteens or something like. no one is dragging such people into the theater. this is not forcing people who go inside are standing voluntarily, without doubt.
We can stand for 52 seconds for National anthem and feel proud as well. Those who are objecting must have their loyalties elsewhere , I doubt. And they must be investigated and opposed. every citizen loves his/ her national anthem in all over the world, then why some in India have objection instead feeling proud.
You cant play National Anthem whenever and where-ever you feel like. Movie halls for entertainment. Play at official govt functions, nobody would ask a question. but at movies and sundry places ?..NO..

Who is attending any other functions than watching movies regularly. I am talking about everyone in general. The practice of playing national anthem is not new and earlier in 1960s it was played at the end of the movie where everyone is forced to stand up and sing as well.
We must respect nation and each and everything related to the nation. Sir, trying to divide countrymen in the name of religion for gathering vote is also like insulting your nation. What you have to say about such leaders? Honestly,
By forcing people what are you achieving?? I do not remember any instance when the national anthem was being played, anywhere, and people have not stood up. This is a very narrow view expressed by "self proclaimed" desh bhakt's. Creating division where there is none. Creating doubts in the minds of people about others. Who is more patriotic and who is less patriotic. A person like Kher is only talking like this to get collateral benefits from the government. He has already got some by being named the chairman of FTII. More to come...!
In the sixties when the national anthem was being played at the end of the show, people used to rush to the exits, trampling on the feet of those who stood up for the anthem. Probably that is the reason why now the anthem is being played in the beginning. In the countries where there is a more developed sense of national identity, the citizens may treat their anthem and the flag in a cavalier manner but when the country faces a common enemy they will stand up fight as one man. Their patriotism is authentic and not symbolic.

The question is not who is guity , question is whether we have to prove that we are nationalist or not, criminals and mafia also stand for national anthem, why these issue are hi-lighted, off course everybody should show respect to our national flag and anthem and it is done in Mumbai before movie starts. What Anupam Kher want to proove,his job is to improve the standard of FTI not national anthem. There are several issue in FTI , Anupam Kher should focus on that, by praising BJP AND ITS LEADER he got his reward ,appointed as FTI chairman. What are the main issue of nation -UNEMPLOYEMENT, CORRUPTION, EDUCATION,FARMERS PROBLEM ...should not we raise for that .......it is simply diverting the attention from main issues...most of the TV anchors are doing it..showing Radhe maa,Baba and more ...not the real problem of our country.....JAGO BROTHERS JAGO
