Play the national anthem by all means in both houses of Parliament, Legislature assemblies, before the General Body meetings of various Municipal Corporations, etc. I bet the attendance will not be even 10%. Of the 10% who attend film them and show it to the nation. See the rowdy behaviour of these netas at the time of debates? Are they patriots? What is the need to play the National Anthem in movie theaters in the first place? Is there a condusive atmosphere in the theaters to play the national anthem? It is just diversionary tactics. Provide proper medical care in the hospitals so that children do not die for faulty treatments. Create safety measures for women, students and the tourists. Do not indulge in photo ops with brooms in the hand, where there is absolutely no kachara on the ground.
Civilized people stood up and show their respect to the national anthem of any country when it is sung in any event. This shows how civilised they are.
Another attempt by self styled patriots to make an issue out of nothing. Let one stand up wherever and whenever the anthem is played out if he wishes to do so. One need not stand up to show his or her patriotism. It is in one's own heart. Now the situation is like this, whenever any bhakt comes across anybody on the streets, he is asked, do you love your country as if only those love the country and the others not.
Its not the question of standing for 52 secs The national anthem is a solemn and emotional feeling for our country while sung so it must be used on special occasions and not sung as and when pleased and the anywhere and to add on the Dress code will also play a role in it
