The decision to play national anthem in theaters was incorrectly made by the Supreme court. This was an incorrect decision in my opinion and needs to be corrected.
However respect needs to be shown when the national anthem is played.
i know that once it happened at the borders that pakistani terrorists were trying to get back to pakistan...our jawans reached them and were about to capture them...but the terrorists had come prepared for this possibility...they at once played the national anthem on the music players they had brought with them and by the time the jawans were ready after 52 seconds the terrorists had made their escape...
52 seconds is not a question. Any one can stand. Poit is National Anthem is National pride , National honer. entertainment places are where playing National Anthem is waste and unnecessary . i say stop playing National Anthem in such places.
It is not the 52 seconds that matter . Mr Kher and his ilk will demean the national anthem by playing it at trivial occasions like every show at theatres. The anthem is to be played only at solemn or important occasions , so no point in playing it over and over again in theatres.
Of course all must stand still whenever it is played, and no exceptions.
The honourable judges who has passed judgement that there is no need for people to stand up for National anthem. The judges of all the courts expect from every one sitting in the court room to give them respect by stand up whenever they enter the court room. The honourable judges who has passed this judgment will also give instruction to the people of this country that no one should stand up in the court room whenever judges enter the court room ?

The first principle of education is that you do not ask questions rudely, that is in a way that insults people. There is no non insulting way in which the given question could be asked in India today, which in turn reveals a basic feature of India and Indians, that they are both uneducated.
If Mr. Kher or others really wanted to know why people cannot stand for the anthem, then they would probably have to ask people privately and politely, as well as observe people secretly and then try to analyse the observations.
A loud public platform where every one tries to be rude to every one else is nt the right place to find answers, if indeed that were the purpose of asking the question.
The problem of India today is that we do not give up our efforts to prevent the spread of education to the lower masses. Converting every public discussion into a rude rhetorical display is one of the techniques of preventing the spread of serious education to the uneducated masses, otherwise some one would already have done the exercise and would have revealed the real answer to why we cannot all stand for the anthem.

What is meaning of loving country? For me it is respecting rule of law, paying my taxes honestly, obeying the traffic rule and promoting friendship and love amongst fellow citizen. Singing national anthem and not respecting the constitution can never be good substitute for patriotism.
