while I pay a lot of respect to Harvard University let us not de meen our own universities. It is sad to see Indian universities become political breeding ground. so what are the intellectuals doing to get rid of those who don't want to be intellectuals. Let politicians have their own political universities.

the self claimed highly intelligent persons with very high IQ as claimed by them can only write and give advice to the government without knowing what exactly they expect the government to do or give them valid suggestions.
A lot of people read travelogues. They are, at times, being referred to as arm-chair-travelers. Now if someone turns around and ask questions like: \" What do you mean? They drive around in an arm chair?\" \"Do these arm-chairs have wheels?\" etc., what can one infer about the thinking of the questioner? Maybe we should take PMs comment as one targeted at Amartya Sen and not Harvard or any other seat of learning in particular.
......all good economists recognise his ability to manage money-matters.....after all what better than a Gujju CEO of the Nation....they make the perfect businessmen who know how to secure the interest of their business against all odds....governance of the Nation in the current context....
people like prateek kanwal, amartya sen, prasanna d'eyesore, etc., are mere attention seekers with nothing to deliver....frustrated with their miserable failures to come out with even one single economic measure that could take crores of poor people out of poverty and misery.....TEAM-BJP AND NARENDRA MODI STAND TALLER THAN ALL THESE REDIFF's IMAGINARY HEROES .....for the nation people like amartya sen are best left in the dustbins of history !
When you say clear idea of benefits... you need to identify CSFs/KPIs and the associated Metrics with targets.
PM Modi has used words like outcome based appraisal of programs... which means that even non tangible metrics with targets are identified and tracked to see how useful was the program/project...
Also do not forget that the PM works 20 hours a day , seven days a week, 12 months in a year.
He has been doing so since last many years.. I am not sure if Zore/Kanwal has taken note of it when mentioning 16 hours a day work schedule with weekly offs, quarterly vacations, and also sabbatical....
Such self arrogated so called individuals with self arrogated right to malign should realize the hard work by others and then comment.
Michael Faraday was not educated in a formal way but came out with the Laws of EM induction that energizes and drives the world today..

In this debate it does not mean that whatever is said or talked about India is the gospel truth and anybody who questions it should ne trolled
In the case of Dr Amarthya Sen in his interview which led to the controversy mentioned that Mr Modi is a Despotic and Minority PM.It is shocking to see these below the belt the statements from such a renowned economist. To call him a Minority PM is ridiculous and insulting to the votes who have voted for 274 seats for Mr Modi.Let him explain what he means by his statement The problem is that most of the economist in the World hate Mr Modi

IF Dr Amartya Sen has a right to criticize then our PM has also a right to reply.Unfortunately Dr Sen had used very unparlaimentary words with regard to our PM .Dr Sen always hated Mr Modi just like all other US Indian economists
This chap Kanwal needs a loooooong write up to explain his views on Harvard, while Modi did it in just 2 lines !!!! At this rate, Harvard will soon be preparing a case study -- on Modi, to teach its students. And kanwal, chidu, amarty sen etc shall continue to remain 2nd grade losers.
