What about Harvard inviting Laluji when he was railway minister. He was projected as a person making railway profit making. In tact he was playing with numbers only. He was giving doles at the cost modernization and infrastructure investment in railway. In fact most of the academicians and particulary economists are politically biased. They criticize when something does not fit into their world view. But if you criticize them it will be labelled trolling. Prof. Sen supported highly useless economic policies of UPA govt while criticized Vajpayee govt. despite the fact that he was following a sound economics.

Sen may not even be able to manage people in his own house leave a village, a state leave alone country
No matter what research you do and how much bookish knowledge you have, none of it can replace practical implementation. First of all try to toil in the fields and then do research. It could be a little more better for the research also. Just talking about figures and discussing in the class room will not help. Period.

Demonetisation is a concept in Eco age old. Yet, there are people who will attempt to pull it down, irrespective of ground reality. Just for the lucre of name fame and money!!! They are not the only ones working hard, try and do it in India and face grim reality!
The PM and the bunch of semi-literates in India who lionize him have made it a habit to denigrate excellence, especially academic excellence. One of the PM's ministers displayed her total ignorance of academics when she produced a workshop participation certificate from Harvard to claim that she had a qualification from that university. In reply to Dr Manmohan Singh's professionally rigorous refutation of the logic behind demonetization, the PM had nothing better to offer than a crude attempt at humour comparing his highly qualified predecessor to one taking bath with a rain coat on. His government ordered the suspension of an officer who gave the green signal to an investigation into his educational qualification. A government headed by someone like that can be expected to ridicule renowned institutions of learning. The same Harvard had the academic integrity to recognize the excellence of performance shown by Indian Railways under Lallu Prasad Yadav. What the Modi Government did is to destroy the autonomy of the Railways altogether.

Come and stay in Bihar, you will see the reality of Railways and Lalu. I am from his state and can only see Harvard humouring an Indian minister. Pathetic. I challenge you to spend one month, you will forget all you have learnt!

Why you get perked up by such statements. Why is wrong in it? Even in hardward hardwork is important, than showing off. If you are really intelligent, scholar, well read then should taken it in stride and move forward. Why cursing people, connected unconnected ones. Be literate first...
