There is no controversy about Sreedharan in Kerala.When his name was announced in welcome speech applaud continued for 50 seconds at Kochi metro opening by Modi on 17 th. And I wonder how you can drag O V Vijayan, a drunkard into this list.I was in Delhi for 8 years and found Vijayan with shivering hands and drinking all the time. Except Khazak all his works were flop.

vijayan had parkinson's disease, so his hands trembled. it's cruel and unfair to accuse sick man without knowing the facts.

Country needs Sridharan's skills and genious for many more projects on the ground. Once a President, he will be lost to do only ceremonial darbars and no concrete work. Top technocrats must not be wasted only for the honour of being president.
M S Swaminathan will be the right candidate. We are getting food for his research and policy. E Sreedharan is also good. He has done some spectacular things which are very good show pieces. But there is nothing spectacular in Swaminathan's work. He improved the existing things(food crops) and the food scenario changed from 'ship to mouth' to 'surplus production'. His research output reached to every Indian knowingly or unknowingly. Sreedharan's work is 'high class' , but Swaminathan's work is 'for mass'. We, all Indians are getting two square meals, because of him. I salute the 'Father of Indian Green revolution'.
SriE Sreedharan is the best choice for the office of the president of India,and we will get another technocrat after our beloved scientist president Kalam.It was the unscrupulos congress party under that Italian niece that Kalam was not given a second chance to continue and that party is now in widerness which is really a self exile.
