Learn from Singapore!
by Venkatesa Prabhu on Jul 26, 2017 04:22 PM

Or Switzerland. In Singapore, all communication for public is in 4 languages I am told. English, Chinese, Malay and Tamil. These 4 constitute the largest language segments and they are okay with it. Why should we impose one language on the southern half of the peninsula which does NOT speak Hindi. Congress and other opposition parties are crying hoarse on the treatment to Muslims and other religious minorities. Why cant they look at this as yet another form of divisiveness?

Hindi is not even Indian
by naveen on Jul 26, 2017 04:13 PM  | Hide replies

Far from being National language, Hindi is not even Indian Language. 1000 years ago, there was no language known as Hindi. Hindi is a mixture of Arabic, Persian, Prakrit and Sanskrit. It originated during the Moghal Era. Most of the North Indian states are Non Hindi speaking areas. Panjab, Bengal,Rajasthan etc are non hindi speaking areas. Some Hindiwalas are imposing this languages on us.

Sanskrit is the original language. Then it should be made national language. How comfortable you are? Except Hindi none other language can be National Language.I have full respect for all other regional languages. Even I use my local language at home with my family but when its come to India I prefer Hindi. It is our strength that despite all regional languages we are one.
Hindi is not being imposed. It is a natural fallout.

or your info. hindi is indeed imposed. in central govt. jobs - freqnently orders are given to use hindi only .. I was forced to "sign " in hindi in a central govt. job -
though sign has no language. finally i quit the job. People with mother tongue hindi are preferred for govt jobs as they can reply or write in hindi(their mother tongue) . So this hindi impostion is just to make sure that most govt. jobs are cornered by people whose mother tongue is hindi.

Were you personally affected by Tamils. Why spreading venom. Our people president Dr Abdul Kalam is a tamilian you know that. He did not study in CBSE or other prime institutions. Many doctors in Tamilnadu today are students from state run schools. They provide better care that is not even one shade less than others in this country. Why Brahmins are hated you know, do a research before saying a word. They held all top positions for years and now the situation is not like that. Even now IIT Chennai is known as Iyengar institute of technology only due to their dominance. About NEET, did they set a common question for whole India, no the questions were easy for Hindi states just check that fact. Systematically Hindi people are inducted in all govt departments particularly Railways. for your information, NORTH iNDIANS are migrating to Karnataka, Kerala and Tamilnadu hugely, why?? I pity you

Why Speak Hindi While I Have My Own Mother Tongue
by Bigtribe on Jul 26, 2017 02:52 PM

I speak my mother tongue and its my duty to safeguard and promote it.

Why should I care to speak Hindi language which is alien to me? Why impose? Why is the govt give preferential to this language?

Who will care for my own language if not me? Govt is by promoting Hindi killing other languages like mine...

Let those who impose be first become HUMAN ...understand the goodness of languages like mine.

Why do we need a national language?
by logical indian on Jul 26, 2017 01:34 PM

Language is for communication and any language including sign languages will work. If two people talk in any language but the message is sent across, that language is good. Why national language at all?
