Article is not readable. It is trash. It is a paid article published on behalf of those who lost the deal. Rediff shame.

Negative Publicity
by MUKUL SAIKIA on Sep 24, 2016 12:04 AM

Ajay Shukla is always know to be inimical to country's legitimate interest. His justifications are but childish. To cite one example - When you buy in volume the price may be less but when it is scaled down from 126 to only 36 the same pricing may not be possible and that too after the fighters are going to be modified specific to India's requirement.

aircraft carrier Vikramaditya which was originally junked after its useful life and later renovated and renamed for India after long delivery delays and price hikes under UPA regime. Rediff should stop publishing such biased unresearched articles by vested interests taking Indian readers to be naive

Exorbitant cost - What are the comparable cheaper options? Including make in India!

Variation in fighter types - You still want to hang on to MIG's...which crash everyday. Will Russia produce SU's in India?

Sovereign guarantees - If there is an issue with the purchase French govt cannot shrug off responsibility. They know the consequences.

Piecemeal contracting - Do you have the money to buy today or sign a future contract 200-330 fighters today? And why should we commit today and risk vis-a-vis your "Sovereign guarantees".

And we will always have these contrarians. Tomorrow some other Fighter Jet manufactures will get a paid publication saying how Modi committed suicide by buying Rafael.

is the spokesperson for Russian military establishment anxious to sell its hardware and trying to provoke CAG to raise objections later, as part of US-Russian media war in India as it was happening with Kunnakulam nuke project. But I am sure Modiji will take better care of national interest than what Soniaji did in the past. Jai Hind

I wonder why this aspect was ignored. The current deal makes no sense when fifth generation Sukhoi T-50s are coming to India.

Nice joke. Gripen is better than Rafale. Hahahaha. And the 5th Generation T-50s will take at least 10 years before the first one is inducted.
