He is suggesting buying Su30-MKIs but he conveniently omits to mention that of the 200 odd planes India has, only 40% is operational at any given time. i.e. Only 80 out of 200 are ready for combat. The remaining 120 are undergoing repairs and maintenance.
He conveniently omits that Su-30MKI is an air superiority fighter meant to win air battles and is not designed for bombing targets on the ground. Rafale can bomb ground targets as well as air-to-air missions. Currently only Jaguars, Mig 27 and Mirage are capable of bombing ground targets.
Also he conveniently omits to mention that Jaguars and Mig21 and Mig27s are nearly at the end of their lives. We have kept upgrading them to the extent possible and it won't be possible to keep them flying for another 5-6 years (Jag and Mig27). Mig 21 needs to be phased out much sooner and replaced with Tejas.
Once the current upgrading phase is over, IAF will have only 6 fighter aircraft - Mirage, Rafale, Su30MKI and Mig29s and Tejas.
In the year 2030, IAF should only have Rafale, Su30MKI, FGFA, Tejas and 1 other MMRCA (looks like American one).
So the blame is on Parikar and so called aviation experts. They will be there then and now, but they were shut when UPA, specially Soniaji, by proxy entered into various deals now being probed. Any weapon system becomes outdated, now in a span of 2-5 years, but we should be battle ready with two big enemies in our neighbourhood. We should definitely look into SU-35 & TU-50 but after 3-5 years.Price is not at all to be considered, as in the case of Admrl. Groshkov, but should be combat ready.

Not all, they are fair and square vis-a-vis JNU brethren, who are left oriented, un-productive, vituperative and add cowardice to the Bengali intellectuals in majority in JNU, who are driven from EP/BD, who are least productive economists irrelevant to our country, even for China.
Dear freinds, the Arm plan is different than two plus two is four, Now why Modi goes for this? France agreed to make Kavery feasible for Tejas, the project UPA finally dumped as R&D could not achieve what was expected, My information is that engine with help of supplier will be made up to mark. This may also give knowledge for future Engines planed by our Indian team. So trade of is not declared.

why we are not going ahead and making only Tajas anyways just go and read the article appearing in french newspaper titled as below: rafale-negociations-hors-norme
These are mere allegations based out of nothing. The writer is just whistling in air rather he could have shown vis-a-vis comparison as to cost, superiority, technical feasibility.
I think Rediff is loosing its credibility by publishing Ajay's article. End of the day only Rediff looses its readers and nothing will happen to Ajay. Ajay almost lost his mind and he looses all the comfort and VIP treatment that he got during UPA government and now he is vending his frustration through articles.

Dassault created a joint venture with the industrial group Reliance Industries and attempts to make housing part of the responsibility for the production of Rafale
