more than a politician Dr.Rao was a scholar, writer,linguistic ( knew 13 languages) and great reformer. He was the only non gandhi family member who rose to hold PM post on his own merrit (without being a rubber stamp like Manmohan Singh Ji)& stregnth. respected nationall & internationally took the indian economy to next level .Most unfortunate that this great scholar politician has been dis-respected by Gandhi cronies. His name is never mentioned by present congress men, his photo is removed by the chamchas of gandhi family from all places . The under matriculate Mother(sonia), Son(rahul) & their father (Rajiv)also just matriculate have brought shame to country by disrespecting Dr.Narsimha Rao

i agree. why not Modi also. Give him time. He will metamorphasise India. But please ask Sonai and Raga not to spoil India's ambitions. Shri Modi is not corrupt. His interest lies only with India, nothing more nothing less
And led to rising of BJP at national level, and downfall of Congress. His policies led to public confidence erosion because while opening up of economy lot of scams happened like Stock Exchange scam (Harshad Mehta), Telecom scam (HFCL & Sukhram) etc. His loss created BJP at national level and downfall of Janta Dal as well as Congress... BJP came in power after that.
Whats the big deal in selling Public Sector Assets (he had not created them). He just sold off public assets (opened up then closed & socialist economy)to get cash inflows in India's exchequer. Whats big deal in that! any PM could have done that. Public Sectors entities were created out of public funds enterprising without profit in mind, so easy to sell those.
1. His leadership lost 1997 Lok Sabha election miserably. 2. It was easy to sell Public Sector Assets/open up economy in 1990s as India was more of closed & socialist economy then. Now its tough as Private equity investments and Public sector investements ahev balanced out. 3. While selling off public assets (opening up economy) people in power ate some of its stake i.e. Various scams happened like Telecom Scam (HFCL & Sukhram), Equity Scam (Harshad Mehta) etc. People realized in the name of opening up economy Congress Party then is making their own share cut... elections results reflected that.

Add to this demolition of Babri Masjid on 6 th December 1992. His timely action and arrest of all frontline leaders of Sangh Pariwar could have saved the post demolition condition which brought India on brink of chaos and near anarchy.How ever great he was, this blot will always remain

Nonsense. The person who took help of Sibu of Jharkhand Mukti morcha by giving monetary benefitsa just to be in power cannot be a good PM. He allowed Harshan Stock scam to happen. Retail investors lost huge sums of Money in 1991. He cannot be called a good PM. Except for Nehru and Atal nobody can be called a good PM. Regarding modi I will comment after 5 years.
