Aakar Patel is one of the best authors we have around and he is not intimidated by the attacks made on him, many of them personal in nature. Way to go, Aakar, and thank you for keeping the hope alive during these tough times.

Now coming to the article itself, author has just stated the facts. What is the pride one gets by distorting historical facts? It's like saying every innovation in modern world today has originated from India. This is good to hear and teach in schools, but what do we get out of it? Is it going to change the ground reality? Also, there was no entity called India before independence. When you say that India was attacked many times and India did not attack other countries, it's basically incorrect statement. Each kingdom used to invade other kingdoms and there were many wars, in fact countless number of wars between small & large kingdoms.

There is ample proof that wars have been fought based on re1igion. For example, H1ndu king Shashanka of Gouda (now Bengal) completely destr0yed the kingdom of Rajyavardhana, who was a Budh1st king, and destr0yed the Bodh1 tree at BodhGaya? This was way back in 8th century AD, when no outsider (as per RSS definition) had come in.

Do you think that was genocide? Read history first they attacked not because of religion and that again was way beyond medieval ages. That does not have relevance now.

Genocide of not, Budh1sts were forced to flee towards Himalayas. You may call it whatever you want. The remnants were distributed across the country. There was no major Budh1st kingdom in our country after that onslaught by H1ndu kings around 8th century.

TOLERANCE
by op karwal on Nov 01, 2015 12:38 PM

It seems the writers who are protesting against religeous intolerance, are themselves prejudiced against the Hindu. Other communities should also respect values of the majority community, akin to elder brother in a family. The writers can spread that message at least.

Sir, India never attacked any country – but our India was attacked by many persons by many ways – due to these attacks OUR CULTURE & OUR LIVING system is fallen in danger. For instance in the olden days INDIAN COW is worshiped as “KAMADHENU” – now what is happening sir - just think -

SAVE COW TODAY TO SAVE TOMORROW
Sir, human being on coming to earth will survive only with MILK and his growth will starts slowly with the agricultural products. This is being universally same. Then where is the question of MEAT.
Sir, EVERY AGRICULUREIST should know that “ with cow dung and urine the fertility of soil will increase due to this reason only our farmers in every village of our nation are still producing different verities of food grains, vegetables, green leafs, fruits, etc,.”
Sir, all these agricultural products keeps a HUMAN healthy, as these products consists of all types of vitamins like A,B,C,D,B12 and so on.
Sir, all these things are happening with the blessing of COW.
On the surface of the earth no other country is having this much fertile land capable of producing number of verities of food items. Even the so called most developed counties like America, Russia, Australia, Germany, England, Canada are unable to produce even 100 verities in their country and are depending on imports. But where as in OUR COUNTRY every village former is producing more than 100 verities of agricultural items like rice, wheat, sugar cane

There was no entity called India before independence. When you say that India was attacked many times and India did not attack other countries, it's basically incorrect statement. Each kingdom used to invade other kingdoms and there were many wars, in fact countless number of bruta1 wars between small & large H1ndu kingdoms, even before Mus1im kings ruled the current day geographical borders, which came to be known as India.

What is false in this? None of the Northern kings ruled southern peninsula in the past. South had hundreds of small kingdoms, with constant rivalry and wars among them. Do you really know what you are talking about or just posting messages for the sake of argument?

Even though politically India was fragmented bunch of small
and big kingdoms, there was
cultural and religious bond among
them. If India was not one entity, how all provisions or `Pradeshes` find mentioned in Ramayana & Mahabharata, thousand of years
old epic of Hindu nation?

Save cow but don't save defunct cows and bulls who create much hazards on roads and streets-they are always let loose by the cow lovers.
