Mr. Akar Patel has blundered in saying that North Indian rulers did not have space to conquer. If so, how come, Alexander reached India with his big army?
BJP/RSS combination has been twisting the past history of this country for their political gains since long. History speaks volume. The man who was instrumental for getting freedom for this country was killed. A party who never shed their blood during freedom struggle now talks about tolerance, harmony etc. and very trying their best to create a radical Pakistan within India. If they are very tolerant as claimed by the minister then they must first control the RSS and the fringe elements in right wing extremists and tell them that India is secular country and will continue to remain secular as per existing constitution of India where people from any faith or no faith would have the right to pursue their preferred way of life or religion.
One thing we can be sure that Independent India since 1947 has not invaded. But within India many kings invaded other kingdoms. Many invaded not only Muslims- what about the generation which came to India thru Kiber tunnel. There were only two religions in ancient India - one is Vedic and other one is Dravidian. To day we have many. It is meaningless to discuss/argue now. Reg tolerance the POWERED whether muscled or moneyed always dominate the weak. Now one party dominates the other when it becomes the ruler.

You have interpreted differently.Who were the weak. In the name of community within the religion the powered and muscled suppressed the people who did some hard & dirt jobs. Just less than 3% men dominated the majority 97% people which forced them to embrace other religions. In fact the invaders over 2000 years ago dominated the Indian Origins. Most invaders were from western and northern side of Himalayas. This is the History. Even now the poor and illiterates are suppressed based on their employment. Women widows were forced to die along with their dead husbands some 200 hundred years ago. In the name of Culture could it be allowed now.But we speak high of our culture.
