We treat women the best. Bestest, better than anyone.

Proof is bollywood. Red carpet to Sunny Leone.. Ask Mahesh Bhat, else no one gives such superstar respect to degraded woman like Leone but only obsessed for white skin bollywood people

A highly one sided view. The following too are facts:
1. Not only widows are considered inauspicious-example - even if you encounter a single Brahmin(married or unmarried or widowed)while setting out for a task, that is also considered inauspicious
2.A widower cannot perform the marriage of his son/daughter. Any dhaan done by him is considered inferior compared with that by a married man(of course with wife alive)
Further, other "advanced societies" of today, too passed through similar stages in the past before reaching their "emancipated" position.
During wars women suffered the worst. In this respect, in wars among Hindu Kings instances of women getting raped or kidnapped etc by the victorious army, were very few compared with other societies.
If rapes are unpunished, the legal system should be blamed. To my knowledge, the present legal system was not designed by a pro Hinduism government.

There are flaws in every religion. The bottom line is Male society has always tried to dominate female society not only among the human beings but even amongst animals. So in every religion male has upper hand. It is only with education this mindset can be changed. There is more equality between men and women in western countries than in India but India is far better compared to Islamic countries like Saudia

Yes, I wish males had permitted women to contribute more to the world's thinking on religion, polity and governance. World certainly would have a better place to live! adminstratioegought

Instead of telling "there are flaws in every religion" it is better to put it this way: "Most of the religious and social laws were framed keeping with the times they were laid down"-thus, with time, many things will change - change introduced gradually is better than that done drastically. The sooner all of us realise this the better
