Indian culture?
by Vish on Mar 20, 2015 12:12 AM  | Hide replies

Indian culture is treating everyone badly men, women and especially children. Indian culture is lying, cheating and not treating others' as you would like them to treat you. Indian culture is littering on the street, urinating and defecating in public. Indian culture is living in filth and wanting more and more children to also live in the same mess. Indian culture is cut throat competition for limited resources. Indian culture is rote learning without learning the ability to think. Indian culture is bullying the weak and bowing down to the strong. Indian culture is not asking questions and following a herd mentality. Plenty more can be added to this list.

During last 1500 years, we see lot of external influence on Hindu culture. Before that we had huge respect for women in society. We had geniuses like Gargi, Maitreyi. Moreover, our religious stories and texts are full of respect for women. Even in Mahabharta, the Yudhisthirs decisions on Draupadi has been depicted in a bad taste. He behaviour is NOT to be followed. It is upto the people how to interpret it, every thing has double meaning. The practicies of Sati, Pardah, Child Mariage etc. have thier origin post Moghul invasion. Moreover, in the name of secularism, the successive Cong govts deliberately avoided great literature and moral stories from Primary School curricula. The result is before us.It is unfortunate that post independence, Democracy has forced politicians to look at its people as votes and use one vote bank against another. Women too are being seen as a vote bank and they are subtly being pitted against men. Is it how we can progress?

yes. yes.

we treat woman like dirt.
to change the practice we shud urgently implement these:

1) shud perform k1ss festivals, hug festivals, ramp walks, fashion shows and candle runs, street dances in large scale.

2) shud pass a decree as 'no woman shud cover more than 20% of their body'.

3) shud introduce sekx education from nursery level.

4) shud make strict non-bailable laws like:
a) staring at a woman : 10yrs jail
b) stand near to woman : 15yrs jail
c) argue with woman : 20yrs jail....like this.

5) govt. shud allocate 50% of budget to 'mahila sangh, NGOs.

6) shud give smart phones and free 4G service to every woman.

7) shud ban adoring woman goddess, bcaz allmost all existing woman goddess blindly obeyed their hubbies.

8) shud educate all the world ppl as "india is most hostile nation for ladies, and still un-civilized, no cultural heritage, no humanity there."
