I request rediff to verify the fact before it published. Rediff is known for its anti establishment stand even though it has no proof against the establishment. Here the author has mentioned that "The only time Muslims secured justice was after the 2002 Gujarat riots, and even that almost did not come to be. More than 100 people have been convicted for the murderous violence; most of the convictions occurred outside Gujarat, in Maharashtra, as the Supreme Court transferred the cases to the neighbouring state. But in Maharashtra itself, for victims of the violence inside the state, there has been no justice." This is nothing but utter lie stated by the author. Let me remind him that Naroda Patia case was tried in Ahmedabad which is in Gujarat, and so many other cases like Deepada Darwaja case, vaso case,Sardarpura case and so on. so please , at least do not lie to get the cheap publicity.I remind the author why he is not writing any thing about 1984 Anti sikh riots?

I believe the article is just dividing the country on religion. Isnt it justice delivered to all people of India? I believe so. Then what is the issue now?

His guilt is no longer in doubt. He admitted. The Courts held him guilty. They convicted him. The question is only whether he should be hanged. Two schools say 'No'. One, because they are against 'capital punishment'. The other, because no one else in the conspiracy has been hanged. The debate can go on till the cows come home. India still has the capital punishment. What he did was instrumental in the blasts that killed several innocents. Let's go by the decision of the Supreme Court. He should be hanged.

You have got your arguments all wrong. Yakub never admitted to being involved in the blasts & by his own admission wouldn't have returned to India if he was guilty. Secondly on the question of whether he should be hanged or not is the way the SC has interpreted the case. It has only gone on circumstantial evidence as there is no direct evidence against Yakub. The fact that Tiger Memon was staying in the same building (not apartment) was enough to nail him. That is why when the evidence is not conclusive you do not award the death penalty.

Dear Inzy the Mumbai police claimed that he was captured en route to Pakistan- Nepal not that Yakub Memon returned on his free will to India.

Inzy, I believe for this one time we need to agree with Supreme court judge. For this one time we can agree with the President of the country. For this one time we need to agree that the Honourable judge might have access to more data and facts than we do.

Yes. The same media refused to accept the SCs decision on the gujrat riots. And they refuse to accept it here as well. Not sure why writers on certain websites feel they r above the law

Ujjwal Nikam lied to the country & the world that Ajmal Kasab was being biriyani in jail. The Govt could not counter him then as he was the Prosecution lawyer of a case that was being followed even by the international media & that would have damaged the credibility of the govt. Here too in the TADA court one is not sure about whether he had all the evidence.
