Indian inventions - Sorry you will not find many. For that matter, even the whole of Asia has contributed very little to Science and Maths.

Not just the s0-called Ved1c traditions, but even the K0ranic and B1blical ones are claiming many scientific findings in their scriptures and are busy re-interpreting the verses as it suits them to derive scientific truth and just chorus "have we not said this before what Science is rolling out today" ? Isn't this a miracle ? What is evident is that these rel1gious scriptures need Science to prove their veracity and thereby enhance their credibility which is at a low ebb as most verses in these scriptures have been conclusively proved to be childish and naive when it comes to scientific understanding. What they are really doing by such bizarre claims is only belittle the role of Scientists like Einstein, Newton, Edison etc. who toiled, persevered, laboured and perspired by burning their midnight oil making such inventions useful and productive to the World community at large. Imagine a life without electricity today and you will thank Edison. But if you believe what people are writing here without sense then the plaudits should be going to our vedic ancestors and not Scientists. The Prime Minister by presiding over such Summits in which such ridiculous assertions are being made is only presenting our Country in a very bad light before the International community.

It is evident that your assertions are based on heresy. And most rely on nothing more than fables which that have no basis in reality. How is it that most astronomical calculations (even those at NASA and the ESA)look to ancient Vedic texts for confirmation? The new age world has been rife with stealing ideas and patenting them to ensure that original roots are hidden from view and patenters benefit from that steal. Sadly there has been little original in that thinking, just fancy documentation. The new world has to shoulder all of the blame there. While stolen mathematics has not affected the lives of the needy, stolen cures have. Due to the patent regime, much needed medicines have thus become out of reach of the common people in 'developing' countries from where the theft happened. Oppenheimer the inventor of the Atomic Bomb, quoted from the Gita when he saw the first blast. Most international conferences in the western world are nothing but a means of keeping their clique in good humour and the real owners away. It happens in religion related matters too. Hence we have half cooked gooses from Abrahamic cults spouting voluminous nonsense on religions that they don't know and making a hue and cry when their shallowness is exposed. The Vedic age was one of pure discovery, with no commercial edge. Modern day science is nothing but commerce garbed in discovery.

BTW, Einstein and Newton made discoveries. Edison was an inventor, with a commercial heart. He founded General Electric to 'sell' his invention the bulb for profit.

Before you start naming something that you do not understand as drivel, understand that ancient Indians had understood that to live in peace meant going away from money and wealth. Hence their pursuit of knowledge was not driven by the need to accumulate wealth. Profiting from knowledge is probably a non-Asian trait that has been imposed here in Asia. It will lead us all to destruction.

Appreciate if this philosophy is shared by the current H1ndutva proponents who are always chanting growth, growth, growth. You say ancient Indians had understood to live in peace because they forbid money and wealth. But if your proposition is indeed true, how come invaders targeted our Country ? Moreover sitting in the 21st century, we do not know for sure what our ancestors motives were in doing what they did and so eulogising them today for no rhyme or reason cuts no ice.

Science was fully discovered only in the West-dont boast unnecessarily. Only few things were known to Indian philosophers/mathematicians of medieval times.

Who is preventing you dear today doing it ? You had the NDA Government from 1997-2003, what they were doing to promote the legacy of our vedic traditions if it really had such a glorious past ? It is now the Modi Government and what they are going to do about it rather than trumpeting about it in Indian forums. Does your PM Modi have the courage to tell before an International Scientific Community that Shiva was the first plastic surgeon. Just ask him to go and utter it and just see the backlash in terms of derisive laughter emanating all round the stadium.

Some semiliterate communals claim that a few pages of Vedas were read by Germans and they discovered marvels of science. All these fools; we, the writers of Vedas cold not do it, were westerns so intelligent that few lines from Vedas lead them to major discoveries-& our Pandits were ignorant?
