BABUS
by Mohan Ranganathan on Sep 13, 2014 10:32 PM  | Hide replies

It is heartening to note that Babus are working round the clock to achieve Modis target. But how long is a big question. India witnessed these type of work culture when the great Indira Gandhi introduced emergency but we know what happened in the end. Modi is consolidating his power at his office (like Indira Gandhi)and expects secretaries of different Ministries to report to his office overlooking their respective Ministers. In general we all have got egos and how long our other ministers can keep their mouth shut against these type of functioning.Service to the people must come from the heart of officials and cannot be forced upon.

Advantage...
by Discusion Forum on Sep 13, 2014 03:10 PM

The main advantage of Modi rule is that future PMs cannot change this system as in the case of ex-Election Commissioner Sri. T.N.Seshan, he shown the power of EC and all future commissioners followed it.

management trainees

Looks like payment seat management trainees!

Earlier I would hold a cabinet note for a month, but now I have to clear it in three days.

"These days I think five times before nominating myself for a foreign trip," says a once-globetrotting officer.

Looks like a tv ad for fat loss while watching tv!
