Work Culture
by Sudharma Banerjee on Sep 11, 2014 12:08 AM  | Hide replies

Bad work culture derived from the congress and Left regimn who don't believe in progress. No Govt perssonel come office ontime but leaves before 4PM. For every work they want bribe. Hope all will change and corrupt person will be perished.

Mr.Modi we are watching you. We will support all your good work, in the same time we will strongly oppose if anything bad you do.

Do well, we are bugged up by hearing we are from 3rd world or developing nation.

We must also do our bit in the similar way in our daily life. Only then we have the right to talk this language, of "We are watching you and we will strongly oppose you"

Just having our vote doesnt give us the right to talk like that. Yes we can talk like that, if we live our lives in the same way as we expect from the government

work culture to improve
by harshkumarmalhotra on Sep 10, 2014 11:48 PM

For better future/life foryour childern & coming generation, leave the pleasing attitude towards the Boss. Restrict honestly to your individual position responsibility in public or private organisation & give justification to administration / society and altimately to citizen/people of the India.

Good days are over for babus
by Jacky Jackson on Sep 10, 2014 07:40 PM  | Hide replies

Having worked closely in Delhi with various ministries, I commend Modiji for having improved work ethics.Senior Government officers should realize they are there to serve common man of India.Instead most of them enjoy luxurious life style without doing their best for the country. I hope Modiji remains at the helm for at least 15 years so that India can be put back on track for progress and development of all sections of society.

Looks like payment seat management trainees!

Earlier I would hold a cabinet note for a month, but now I have to clear it in three days.

Looks like a tv ad for fat loss while watching tv!
"These days I think five times before nominating myself for a foreign trip," says a once-globetrotting officer.

Indira Gandhi's emergency and Sanjay Gandhi's bossing were known for exactly this type of efficiency. But India didn't appreciate it then.

Indira Gandhi'semergency was a blot on our democracy. It was a clear case of her losing control over the Governemnt. As far as Sanjay Gandhi was concerned he was very much a superbrat and nothing more. I wish Indira Gandhiplayed less politics and took care of the economy better. THis was her biggest failure, a golden opportunity lost.

Two types of departments: CLERICAL & NONCLERICAL
by Ulhas Kulkarni on Sep 10, 2014 12:47 PM  | Hide replies

What the govt doesn't seem to realize is that there are two TYPES of departments. Although nonperformance appears to be a factor common to both, the depts can be roughly divided into: CLERICAL & NONCLERICAL. The former category is generally engaged in FRIVOLOUS activities like framing more and more govt rules, issuing licenses etc., while the later category is expected to handle more productive functions like: defence production, R&D etc. Although the repeated tightening might be able to cut the Babus to size in the former category, such a thing will be counterproductive in depts of the latter type. It will smother them at a time when more liberalization is called for. If there is liberalization for the private, why can't the same thing be applicable to govt depts and PSUs engaged in PRODUCTIVE activities. Disband the armies of clerks and glorified clerks (IAS) trying to rule these depts in the name of thousands and thousands of govt regulations, like LTC, to unleash the full potential of such depts.
