I think Sanskrit should be revived and made the national language. Since it is base of all Indian languages, it wont cause heartburn in non-Hindi people when Hindi is forced down their throats.
Once Netaji SUBHASHCHANDRA BOSE asked by a japenese how can you learned a japan language so fast.Netaji said I am from HINDUSTAN & our language is sanskrit. If you learn a sanskrit you can easily learn any language of the world.

Practical thing is no body speaks or write sanskrit whereas all of the language you mentioned above are spoken in their respective zone.
So now reviving what is dead will not gain anything unless all of the people who are advocating this starts talking in Sanskrit at their home and then if this continues the next generation you might find a whole lot of people who speaks sanskrit and then it might be right time to introduce.

and the answer to that frivolous statement is quite obvious in the Indian context. We follow several languages in India with no common language being spoken across the length and breadth of the country. Also after the british left us one and all including moronns like yourself communicate in English. A language is useful only if stays relevant in the practical context. I am afraid that Sanskrit may be relevant only to a limited few and not the masses. That is not to say that the language is inferior but merely that its practicality for one and all is not
Germany is white supermicy racist country and what is use of this less use foreigh language in India instead promot National Language and definately not useless German Language.
Re: what practicle use is of German Language

The fact of the matter is that Germans have promoted their language to such an extent that it has become a relevant language globally. It will simply not do to say one needs to learn Sanskrit or for that matter any other Indian language unless it is useful for the person learning it.

German language is NOT relevant anywhere except Germany, Switzerland, and some parts of France. And the Germans are not promoting it any vigorously. Spanish is spoken by 450 million people in Entire central and south Americas, in addition to Spain. German is not spoken by even that number. So, let's not propagate uninformed false information. Sanskrit is as archaic and irrelevant as a woolly mammoth. I would rather learn another Indian or foreign language.

The people who are promoting Sanskrit are as racist, in addition to being casteist in promoting a language as alive as a fossil, when it is totally irrelevant today as it was at it's prominence. Nobody every spoke Sanskrit as a native language. It was an artificial language, taking so many words, and construct from Tamil, and still did not have any takers that it did not survive. Today, there is no need for a new language. We have other things to learn and issues to solve. Btw, to call Sanskrit as a National Language is ballony. There are much older, more native, and still living languages than it. As of today, India has 19 National Languages. If you still want an ancient one, I would suggest Tamil.
boys and girls studying in kendriya vidyala, after mastering sanskrit will they be able to read the vedic hymns for religious purpose or they be invited to religious ceremonies ????????
No Study... And one less subject only helps. No one talks about poor children. They have to learn soo many languages and subjects that they really really miss out on playing...
We need to learn Sanskrit as many of our vedic scriptures are in Sanskrit only and many great saints leaved in our country are the master of Sanskrit language

raj S = if he wrote in sanskrit, would you understand ?
first should be Sanskrit, second should be mother tongue or Hindi, third should be foreign language , may be English or any other country's language, Increasing the knowledge of Sanskrit will help culturally as well integrate the country , besides it will help to explore the treasure hidden in past. A true Science discovered during Ancient period based on Sound's echo or say Mantras which needs to be pronounced in correct form or to ascertain if there is truth in our beliefs once for all. After all India has been pursuing knowledge since long back as compared to modern science which is hardly developed in last 600 years or a little more or less. to connect with our ancient Scholars Sanskrit Knowledge is must, otherwise we will always feel backward as compared to West. Though we may not be. We need serous exploration before condemning the past. As done by Britishers , Indian Communists and those who are influenced by the glamor of West.

Obviously, Sanskrit is not backward but your thoughts are definitely backward...
Education is practically free in German Universities and learning the German language can give a big boost to your career: Especially if you want to work in Volkswagen, Mercedes, SAP or Solar companies.
Learn Sanskrit because that will allow you to grow your roots and bind you firmly to the works by Ancient Indians.
Learn German for gaining scientific know how and also a foot hold in Europe.
Learning Spanish or Mandarin is the last thing I would recommend.
There are more scientists in German today than in England who are working on cutting edge technologies.
