Worried by the adverse reports about the Govt because of the series of raping, Akilesh Yadav has given the following instructions to control it. 1.) Cut all the trees so that the raped girls are not hanged in them 2.) Cancel licence to all media that are highlighting the rape incidents. 3.) Govt will arrange burial / cremation at its own expenses of all the rape victims 4 ) Girls / women desirous of getting raped will be advised to have it done in the police stations as a measure of safety and to enable easy compilation of statistics 5) create a new Department of Denial with a Secretary at IAS level to keep denying all reports of rapes 6 ) Institute an award for any individual who commits maximum number of rapes

From this report it seems that UP has become an epicenter of rape cases. Rapists are performing this inhumane and heinous crime with complete impunity and sometimes with the blessing of guarantor of law of the land. In this particular case, the IG of UP was trying to evade the questions on rape cases which is not only shameful but a regrettable way of ignoring and accepting this on-going unacceptable acts of these vultures. In this case, the Chief Minister has also shown his incompetency to eradicate this menace from his state. Needless to say that BJP's approach to the Governor to fire the IG and the Chief Minister is on the right footing, but firing people is not always the right solution to any problem. To be specific of the rape cases, the concrete solution to this problem is the enactment and implementation of a anti-rape national legislation. This law ought to specify in a clear and plain language that any rapist, once proven guilty, will be behind bar without any bail, and if victim's life is in danger, the rapist will be hanged without any ifs and buts. This law should apply equally to all irrespective of his party affiliation and a status in the society. This law should also state that anyone interfering and/or trying to influence the judgement will also be punished severely. This is the only way to tackle this societal menace. Let's see what the central government can deliver on this issue.
I think president rule must be imposed in UP , ther is enough reason to impose it. And i am surprised that Modi Government is silent , i think they are counting the numbers of victims and their numbers has not been reached to get themself satishfied for taking step to impose president rule. Pl Modi ji Do something please dont allow the criminals any more time to repeat crime.

there are two separate issues.
one the actions from the centre, and
two, ethics of the state government.
centre should be careful before they dispose a democratically elected state government. And, I am with them that they take that action only if no other alternative is available. Every thing is the responsibility of "others". If we have elected SP for whatever reason then we deserve them. Hoever, I might there is limit to everything material.
two... yes if the UP government hs any ethics they must resign immediately. And, it is for us to pressure on them to resign and seek a new mandate. Let us do our job and let the centre do theirs.
they say that people get the government they deserve. Let each of us chip in to make India a better nation instead of leaving everything to "others" be it politician, civil servants, miltary or anyone else.
