BJP always has a problem with Freedom Fighters. The killers of Gandhi (RSS) and its progeny (BJP) and its Allies (SAD) can only glorify the ilks of Godse and Satwant singh.

there is no historical evidence of tipu fighting for the country ... he was fighting for his lands...and congress has this habit of recognizing only minorities ...dont know their vote bank fixation.
and tipus is far from freedom fighter...dont malign indian freedom struggle ...tipu committed many atrocities in natives which is also recorded history ...you cannot rewrite what had happened.
try to accept facts which u have been selectively ignoring for so many centuries.

And similarly there is absolutely no evidence of the RSS participating in the freedom struggle. The only evidence available is that RSS people went to jail for creating communal problems, otherwise they co operated with the British most of the time. Yet the RSS is today very patriotic.

maybe savarkar and others are not freedom fighters to u ..ofcourse they opposed the atrocities committed by ur religion ...but ohh tipu is great freedom fighter...height of hypocrisy...evidence of RSS ... thats one organization u hate because it checks ur overtures
1st of all he is not an Indian. He has an invader and spoilt our land by all means. What is great about this. It is sickening to note about Cong government. They are digging their own grave

If Tipu is an invader then so are the Aryans. It's sickening to note that one of the earliest freedom fighters is being opposed by BJP. What else can be expected from the killers of Gandhi.

what is the need to revisit at historical figures at the expense of public money. same can be utilized to construct check dams on Gujarat pattern
I live in a small outskirt of Chennai, called Nolambur. There is history, that at least two temples in this small place was maruaded by Tipu's barabaric army some 250 yrs ago. The local Hindus removed the principal deities of these 2 temples and threw them into the lakes. These were retreived about 50 - 60 years ago. So much for Tipu, Mr Siddramaiah.
Tipu and his dad Hyder Ali were tyrants imposing their religion in Mysore and Kerala. Not everybody who fought the British are "patriots". The brits also fought against hordes or highway robbers across the country and made travelling much more easier. This is an attempt to make Karanataka another failed state like KL & WB.
